ive noticed a few times when the cpu is down in the last few minutes of the game if they run the ball the rb will break out ofa 4 or 5 man tackle, that happened to me twice both for td's that needs to be fixed no robo RB's please.

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
The flat is always, always, always open when in man coverage. Always. Always. Running backs can catch 20 passes for 200 yards every game if you don't play cover 2 or something similar to it. It's a mess.
Also...
I've played 3 people now whose entire online strategy is Goal line formation with Felix Jones as the running back. It's ridiculous. If I know what play they're running, and they run it 20 times, it should be STOPPABLE. I don't stink at this game. I'm good. But superfast running backs out of goal-line is ridiculous. It's so broken that it took all of 1 day for everyone to figure out that's how to score a touchdown and run down the clock for the entire half. I don't know if the solution to this is simply to limit the effectiveness of these types of plays or to allow some sort of run commit/pass commit as in previous Maddens, or more of a presnap read like in NCAA this year. But SOMETHING has to be done. If I know they are absolutely running the ball, my team should react accordingly.
Those are easily my two biggest gripes with an otherwise fantastic game.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
Am I the only one who had to quit playing the franchise mode in year 3 because there were no more centers to sign!!!!???
Both of my centers went out due to injury but when I went in to sign another one, there were none in Free Agency. I think that's a bug.
And everything else others have been saying regarding: pass rush on CPU, franchise simmed rushing TDs, franchise simmed CB tackles, total tackles not being tallied correctly, 3-4 OLB's not getting sacks, average to slightly below average players wanting exhorborent amounts of money.Comment

I dunno if he just sucked, but that was my solutionComment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
Some punk online tried to do that to me. He'd line up in Goal Line and run either Barber or Jones. It gashed me a couple times, and then I found one play that crushed it every time. In 4-3 Under, the MLB blitz. He could not run up the middle, at all.
I dunno if he just sucked, but that was my solution
And he didn't "gash" me, that was half the problem. Took up the entire game. 4 yards a pop.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
Why is anyone talking about anything but getting a salary cap, contracts and trade logic into online franchise?
These other things are important, but talking about priority??? My goodness this is it!13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
Unfortunately, he used Felix Jones every time and ran outside. It was unstoppable. I tried every blitz combo I could think of. Final score 14-7. I think I had the ball 3 times. Fun.

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
Vick in '04? Easily stoppable, a win for me every time. Tom Brady to Randy Moss in '08? Not a thing, I could stop it. This? I got nothin'. Everything that made sense to me didn't work, because my guys reacted like they had *NO CLUE* what play the jerk was going to run. And if it keeps popping up more and more it might be the first time I have to just give up on ranked matches. And that sucks, because I love this game.
That's why the two things I mentioned are a huge priority to me. I want to have fun w/ ranked matches again.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
I know they probably can't do this, but I would be happy with any or all of these things from NCAA 10
1. Player Lock. I have so much more fun playing defense in NCAA 10 because of the player lock. I love the camera angle and the fact that it makes the D side of the ball feel as important as the O. It, to me anyway, is the best new feature in these games in years. Defense doesn't feel like something you HAVE to do until you get the ball back. I would really like to see that in Madden
2. Play action passing. The way they did this in NCAA makes a lot of sense. It isn't perfect, because I think you should link several different run plays to a single PA pass play in some situations, but it feels more like football. You have to establish the run from a certain formation before you can run a successful PA pass from that formation. That is the way it should be.
3. Defensive Keys. I like this additional level of strategy in NCAA defense. It makes me feel more like a field general than an observer on Defense.
4. Game planning. This is another brilliant level of strategy. Are you willing to risk something to gain something? I think it can be improved, but it was at least another layer of depth. That is always a good thing.Follow me on Twitter @cavemangamer

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
During the Free Agency period in franchise mode, 95% of the free agents are the same players depending on which year it is. For example, after year 1, 95% of the players will be exact same if you were to then start a new franchise and sim to the offseason after year 1. Same goes for year 2, year 3, etc.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
I want a patch that cleans up some of the choppiness in the game. I tried it off the disc and off the HDD and it still has some choppiness at certain parts of the game. I'd like for that to be cleaned up. I play on 360 btw.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
Along with fixing the NCAA draft class issues, PLEASE FIX the clock when players step out of bounds. It only stops within the 2 minute warning I believe. That is very unrealistic, and can ruin a possible game winning drive with little time left.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
1. Sliders and Game Speed options for Online Franchise
2. Sideline Catches
3. Computer still goes out of bounds for no reason
4. Injury issue where they ask you if you want to sit or bring back a player with the risk of re-injury....If you decide not to bring the player back in, he comes back in anyways.
5. Too many over the shoulder catch animations
6. Too many shoestring tackle animations.Comment

Re: Patch 2: Determining Priority
I havent read thru all the replies yet but two presentation things that should be fixed are..
1. Automatic in-game reply's are hardly shown ..i think for big plays it should always be an automatic in-game reply with collinsworth commenting on it..they do happen but its very rare. This needs to be adjusted imho
2. After the team your playing with..sometimes it shows your coach all pissed off yelling at players..this shouldnt be happening after you just scored a TD for your coach lol
I know they are minor things but it would help with the realisim if these were fixed with a patch... if not, i'll survive, i still love the game a great deal...You win some, you lose some
