I really hope some of the small things get fixed in this update as well, like Stadium sounds not properly working, the wind meter pointing opposite direction than it should etc, punt returner bug when he goes walkabout etc.

I'm liking the game, but these small things are errors that should have been noticed pre release, and need fixed

If you really wanted to maintain a level of professionalism, you wouldn't have even responded to his post. Your response is very indicative of how things are done regarding this game at Tiburon. The product has been nothing short of terrible going on 8 years now. This year's game is the first game that shows SOME sort of effort. While it isn't fair to lump all of the gamechangers into the same bucket, you were strangely absent when some of them defended every aspect of Madden that was truly done poorly and incomplete. There was no mention of the lack of editing, the ridiculous number of oversights and bugs regarding both offline and online CC, nor the issues regarding the gameplay.

Also, just because you brought in a few guys from the sim standard and wined and dined them into trying to tell us the game was incredibly better doesn't carry any weight. You have a guy who was one of the original youtube critics who is doing great work by showing all of the glaring gameplay issues still in Madden in a professional and respectful manner that were done better in that "other" game, but you're in no hurry to include him. If you really were interested in making the game better, you would not be responding to a comment that provided no value, but you would simply be gathering the input from the community as a whole and realizing that there are massive issues with this game year after year. You're talking about a company who bought an exclusive license to the nation's most popular sport, then proceeded to destroy it with colossally bad products for 8 years.

Also, we all know why you mention the TSS guys. Your thinking was that if you brought in the supposed "harshest madden critics", you'd brainwash people into thinking that the game MUST be better. People make up their own mind here by playing the game. Tons of things are still broken gameplay wise, but to add to it, a bunch of things were removed and are now bug ridden that were in the non-gameplay areas. People are going to be upset. The price of the game wasn't lowered, so people's expectations aren't going to be.

Also, let's not forget the face of the gamechangers for Madden. SGibs and ZFarls (nothing personal), but they are admitted tourney type/glitch players. They profit by writing strategy guides that tell you how to simply win at Madden, completely disregarding "football", yet you are touting this as a true simulation game. Come on now...

There is a wealth of information here on OS that has been here for nearly a decade. Tiburon has chosen not to use it to improve the game. People are going to have their opinions about your game changer program. Have the mettle to take the info you need from the "negative" comments in order to make the product better. Even though you may not like how it was written or presented, the important thing is that you get the information.

People who want to play NFL games want to play football, not Madden-Ball. We're all tired of comparing this to the other game on the field, and complaining about the bugs in the mode off the field. Plenty of people want to love this game. Line play, player movement, running animations, NFL rules, NFL atmosphere, NFL presentation, realistic roster and off field management need major work to catch up to where we were. That's the feedback the team needs to hear about. When those things are finally polished and we get a product worth 65.00 that looks like a company with all access to the NFL built it, then more respect for the development team and its affiliates will follow.

The masses have spoken and its clearly evident taht the masses arent the folks that frequent Operation Sports.
Game Face is a huge priority for the masses, that would be the young kids and casuals.
THE ability to edit rosters etc, is for teh die hard sim heads.
This brief discription of a patch, clearly indicates what EA's priority is when it comes to Madden. Hint: it aint us.

People are making way too much of Gameface making it into the brief list of areas getting fixes. It's probably lower risk fixes that could make it into an early patch, so that it's less likely to break something else that would require attention before/in the next title update.

Meanwhile, 'teh die hard sim heads' got a whole paragraph about them looking into adding editing back in.

This has got to be a joke right? This warrants a patch to have nonsense fixed that most do not even care or use.

How about the fact that I am here playing NHL early release and you got Connected Careers mode and still give the user a season mode.

Why can NHL do this but not Madden and we have to be given excuses as to why when we all know that Josh Looman wanted this mode to be shoved into all users which is not a franchise mode but more like a souped up fantasy mode.

Ohh and by the way the crap NCAA pass defense for the CPU is in full affect in Madden but this time for the User

How many times do we have to see corners biting on non fakes by the qb.... Corners come in and the CPU QB does not even pump fake and at least once a game the CPU gets a 60 yard bomb where the receiver is wide open by 25 yards.

Complete and utter joke. When the gameplay for the most part is excellent

100% agree on your point regarding the Single Season mode incorporated into NHL. As an Offline gamer playing with friends Madden is a real let down.

It only took 1 game to see the poor safety play as well.

They need defensive assignments back in the game I hate the best on best system it sux

Seriously EA should start handing out refunds and buy the game in December when it is playable offline this is just unacceptable if this is it in the update.

This comes down to what I and a few others have been saying. In that we need to have the ability to play either in an arcade mode or a simulation mode in Madden. It would solve all this complaining and Madden bashing over this game being ultra unrealistic in every sense of the word myself included in the bashing... and a little praise as well, but mostly bashing. Also I want to think the EA community managers for their participation in the forums around here. Lets get that little switch in the game that lets us sim players play our kind of ball and the casual " I like my 100-70 score games " players have their kind of ball.

Gibbs and Farls provide valuable information on how to fix glitches and nano blitzes in the game. You guys would be surprised to see what they uncovered the many days and hours they spent in the studio.

The only issue of importance to me is the stability of offline CCM, the fixing of the progression for offline CCM, and if you are not able to do that then the most important issue for me is the stability of online CCM and MUT. Right now it is impossible for me to even play this game. I've been asking around and unable to find anything I'm doing wrong. Throwing this in here to see if you know of anything, or if it is what is meant by stability in the game.

Again, unacceptable by EA. these uniforms were not done right, and if I am wrong, the fans of this game have always voiced their concerns about a lack of editing. While I am glad they are taking these actions, this should have never been released with these issues.

Maybe, but it will never be done in the same game with the same developers. Thus, it will be two separate games which will have people screaming about greed and so forth.

It just won't sell to the masses. They said they wanted to make a head coach every other year, but the game didn't sell well enough thus we have not had it since 09.

Then it would not have been released until december. We all saw what happens when they delay the release of a game when they did so with Live. It never came out and doomed the franchise probably forever.
