Encouraging to hear they're working on 'edit player' functionality. I'm going to jump the gun here, but I'd like to think there is a good chance this gets in. Otherwise, I'm not so sure it would've been mentioned. They know how the Madden community gets; when they say there is potential for something to get in the game, members of various communities will interpret it as a promise. I'm sure Tiburon is aware of that.

Madden 12 franchise was infinitely better to me and my friends as we could actually play the game in co-op.

A team-based sports title without co-op is unheard of so from our perspective CCM is a monumental step backwards.

I totally understand the desire for multi-team control, editing, etc. But Madden 12 franchise was a bore for me. The scouting didn't provide enough points or info and I ended up quitting the scouting altogether because it was a waste of my time. The draft let me down because of that. And I hated the e-bay style FA system.

I'm looking forward to playing this new franchise mode but I can't start it until the cpu play calling tendencies are fixed. Seeing the cpu just pound the ball on 1st and 2nd down, being overly predictable and not playing like the real teams do just kills the experience for me.

EA really needs to focus a LOT more on testing human vs cpu games instead of inviting game changers in to play each other all day long. EA also needs to invite at least one person in to do nothing but test the sliders - offline, online, Play Now, CCM and make sure they work and are effective.

That is why I bought it for 44.99 on Toys r Us online. I knew from the past what the future would be.

So I am waiting and by patch 2 (October) things should be ready to go offline. In the meantime I canceled my NHL pre-order. Lack of penalties is unacceptable. I will again stick with the great NHL 11.

DJ...just fool around with play now games, poke around CCM to get familar with all the features and menus....then before you know it the game will function properly.

Dive deep into NCAA 13 and The Show 12 till then!

Madden 13 is a great game under the hood and just needs some TLC with a couple of strong patches. Play now is a ton of fun.

I was initially appalled that the game shipped in this state for offline gamers. I have calmed down......played the game in play now mode and have really come to enjoy the heck out of it.

If EA does not come through on the patches......they will lose me as a client....for a long time.

I've been tinkering with Offline CCM but the busted XP, among other things, is tough to deal with. I'm not wasting my time Online until the servers are more stable; my gaming time is limited and there's no way I'm risking playing a game for an hour only to be booted in the 4th quarter for some random reason.

Yeah, I'll just stick with MLB 12 The Show and NCAA 13 and mix in some TW PGA 13 and of course, NBA 2K13 when it drops next month. I'll play Madden 13 when I feel like it, but without a properly working Offline CCM, my interest will be very low.

Like you, I was going to get NHL 13, but also cancelled my pre-order after hearing about the lack of penalties AGAIN. I may have to go back out and buy NHL 11.

This is pathetic, with NHL coming out tomorrow this game is getting a nice warm spot on the shelf. I was really waiting to play CC without bugs, but looks like I wont be able to play the game until next month.
I don't pay $60 bucks in August to not be able to play its most hyped mode until October.

C'mon EA.

DJ I haven't had an issue with servers since opening weekend and I'm pretty sure most people aren't either. Just saying, online ccm is the way to go

I have not been able to playing online CCM for the past week for more then ten minutes at a time. "EA servers are not available at this time please try again later" or "You have been disconnected from the EA servers please try again later" every time I try to play. I'm not the only one, and every other game I play is working with online.

Yeah we are looking into addressing both of these issues and hope to announce something soon.

This is exactly what I wanted hear man.. Sucks I have to wait until next month before this issue gets possibly gets fixed though...

I don't play on All-Madden. I don't enjoy playing to find money plays that work against it. I don't enjoy an unrealistic game. *shrugs*

Xbox/PS3 memory issues come into play. I don't have all the details but it always something our developers have to be conscious about.

Don't you work with overlays? You don't put the entire Madden game in memory do you? Don't you load certain things only when they are used? If someone starts a play now game, CCM isn't loaded into memory is it? I'm not writing the Madden Code, and maybe their are reasons, but that doesn't make sense to me.

I dont think its exclusive to All Madden. I see the same problems on default pro and all pro also.
