it really is a shame. Like look at the tight end in that clip cut across the middle. There isn't one animation in any madden game that comes close to looking that real. Also from the broadcast angle the field/sidelines and players just look right. The ratios and proportions seem right. When I look at madden they just look like giant pillsbury dough boys running on neon yellow grass.

To make things even more confusing watch EA release a video in the next few days on their "True Step technology"...and that stuff will look different than all the other stuff they have shown...I think people just want to know the truth. All these videos next gen, current gen...EA has to have the worst marketing personnel who have not one clue what it takes to get a positive buzz going on about their game.Comment

All I can do is laugh at this point. I don't even think the $10 upgrade is worth it at this point.<a href="http://www.operationsports.com/Danimal/blog/6756-going-old-school-v1/">Read my blog Going Old School v1 GridIron! football.Comment

I echo the dominant sentiment. I could live with a minor superficial upgrade in visual quality if the game animated and played much better. The leap I wanted to see in under the hood tech for Madden this gen just isn't apparent to me in what I've seen so far. I can't conclude anything, but I have no interest in the game appearing in these MNF clips.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video - MNF Simulation: Colts vs. Chargers (Xbox One)
Considering the fact I only play sports games, football and basketball, I must admit I'm a little disgusted by what I'm seeing. Although I enjoy Madden 25, I was expecting more. I'm sure the devs work hard at what they do, but with this being a new generation it would be nice to get a different football experience. I'll still buy it and enjoy it, I hope, but I'm expecting more, a lot more.I'm not the master of anything, but a student of everything.Comment

Let's just be honest gentlemen, they can't do it. If they could they would. There ideal of improvements are yearly graphical improvements. That's all they can do. ( LOOK AT THE GRASS). Truth be known, the E3 videos are probably where they want to have us 5 years down the road. They hire former athletes to say their gonna help with the development and we continue to get handed the same junk over and over and over. You guys know more about this than me but I don't think 2K had to hire former athletes to help them make a good game or to try to promote sales. They just loved the sport and wanted it to be "Football".
Maybe EA should spend more time trying to hire the 2K developers."People don't care if their wrong, they just want to be right."Comment

Their marketing is fantastic. Look at their product placement. The name is everywhere.
Radio shows, TV shows, live football games....Everyone talks about the game.
No, their marketing plan has been the most successful thing about the game.
People who actually know football see past the marketing scheme but the "Madden fans" (the vast majority of their fanbase) don't care about how football plays out.
Look at the sales of this game, if it weren't for marketing, this game would have died out years ago.Comment

I don't even think THEY have any idea. I have never seen a game company one month before launch release marketing item after marketing item only to yank it back, delete it or pull it completely. They have now pulled two gameplay videos and countless screenshots off their website. How much confidence do you really have in a company that releases something thinking it honestly looks good and they are proud of it only to have immediate public reaction be so bad they feel the need to delete the material entirely?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Video - MNF Simulation: Colts vs. Chargers (Xbox One)
Even if they hired everyone of those guys the game would stay the same. I'm gonna repeat this again. Madden Football is the McDonalds of videogames...They are reliable, people love the fries, they sell over 2 billion every year (exaggeration) and they put very little resources into the product. Madden is EA's cash cow...The McDonalds marketing strategy is working like a charm because while its not the best burger and fry combo it is the most well known and its reliable. From a marketing standpoint they have to be saying...Why would we change?...Particularly when we are the only game in town?...I think its a long term death sentence but as long as they retain NFL rights to the game their strategy is bullet proof.
The Madden name alone sells...meanwhile they are allowing EA Canada to do all the real innovation in Hockey and Soccer which are games that they are really trying to corner the market in. meanwhile madden still rakes in the cash. At the very least I'd like to see them get rid of Tiburon and give the game to EA Canada.
Those VC 2K guys wouldn't last one year on the game because EA would not spend the resources or give them the time to make a product that is different from standard Madden. They would quit...Why do you think we see so much turnover in producers of Madden?...being handcuffed into making a sub par game is not something those guys sign on for...after a year or two they realize there is no chance their ideas will be implemented so they bounce.Last edited by dat swag; 10-14-2013, 05:31 PM.Comment
