In a normal year, it would be after Superbowl-April. But, we don't know if it is releasing "on time". It is slated to release this year. I would think it would be before NFL season and before Madden. But, we don't know if pandemic effected development. We haven't heard anything since they secured the NFLPA license.

Since it would be a new series, we should hear start hearing about it a few months before. WWE Battlegrounds info started releasing 2-3 months prior to release. I would want to hit the late July-Early August window if I was them. I would want to stay out of the Madden window. So, I'm thinking Superbowl-April window to start hearing anything

The beauty of that patent reveal is that it means Visual Concepts likely has a football project they've been working on or laying the groundwork for for some time now. That is huge!

          ****ing WHAT?!

That's incredible, even if small. The name alone gives me a bit of glimmer.

What is 6:00 PM, though? SGO is based in Florida and 2K is based in California. I'm guessing they mean ET, but I clearly haven't the faintest.

I'm guessing Eastern time. Last time we heard anything was the NFLPA deal at the end of July.

I wouldn't expect much at all, but anything is good at this point.

Is there actual news about the game coming?

The only thing I can find is from that one random youtuber and the tweet itself only had like 16 likes or something like that.

If we were actually getting news about the game I'd expect it to come from 2k themselves, not this one random guy.

Not much, but assuring that it is on track. Still think Superbowl-March is likely time to hear something especially with the "sooner than many expect" .

That was a clickbait not update
They could've said that in one tweet lol

Definitely could have just been given in one tweet. But, still better than nothing. I wouldn't have been surprised if the game would have been delay since the brunt of development happened in a pandemic. So for it to be on track, its good to know.

What I like about that is it probably means they had enough groundwork to present to the NFL at the time, which could get that feel of nothing just "thrown together" recently.

Told us everything we already knew. Seems like the creator is just making videos for views.

Wonder if it will be a Blitz clone or a NBA Jam esque game of power ups?

As a Packers fan I need this game right now so I can replay the NFC championship with the outcome that should’ve been. It’s critical to my mental health lol

I think there are updated rosters on ESPN NFL 2K5 if you want to give that a shot.
