Re: NFL 2k5 PC Editor Bugs/Comments/Requests Thread
Not sure if I follow you. For example, I in the editor, I changed the Washington Redskins to the Patriots playbook which I believe should be 3-4, but it still reflects a 4-3 defense in the depth chart. I tried changing the playbook to Ravens, but again, no dice on the depth chart.
A separate question: Using the in-game create-a-player, I have reached a limit of 697 created players and I cannot create any more. How do I get around this?
Thanks again.Comment

After you load your roster in the editor, right click at the top where it says Washington Redskins. scoll down the list to defensive front and select 3-4.
I thought the in game cap only lets you go to 47 players?? Anywho you can create as many players as you like in the editor. Just overwrite players who are no longer in the league.Comment

Sorry, I had to read your first question again. I said that you can do it but didn't tell you how.

Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate it!
Maybe one more question - I'm not a big NFL historian, but, was the Patriots offense in 2005 similar to that of a WCO? I guess I'd like to use that playbook but just thought I'd ask before I make adjustments.Comment

Re: NFL 2k5 PC Editor Bugs/Comments/Requests Thread
Not sure if this will get a response or not, but I exported/imported a newer file from a franchise into a reg roster, but of course the DOB and YRS are off. I was just going to export the player data from a correct file, but ALL the new files I've tried have given me the picture in my post an "address violation".
Finn- any help on this one. The address changes by file, but it is always present. I can, however, export data from any of my older files. I will attach the file as well.Comment

Re: NFL 2k5 PC Editor Bugs/Comments/Requests Thread
Okay, here we go...
First I love the editor and always take the great rosters you guys make available then I change them so that I have the "Super Chargers". I know it's not realistic or anything but it's fun for me and my friend. We always play Chargers against Chargers anyway. So my problem is that when I want to make this roster that I have modified into a current franchise, I have trouble with the schedule editor. I read a comment refering to a glitch with bye weeks but could not find any other information than the slight reference. When my schedule is almost completed, the editor says some of my teams have too many games already scheduled. When I go back and look at the weeks I have already input into the editor it shows the correct amount of games. Has anyone else encountered this?
Second..I tried using the schedule that Flinn uploaded for the 2010-11 season but if you check out that thread it seems to be corrupted. Could anyone please help me? I want to explore franchise editing but would like the correct schedule.Comment

Re: NFL 2k5 PC Editor Bugs/Comments/Requests Thread
Hey everyone, I'm sure this has been asked somewhere on this site, maybe even this thread, but still. I'm on a PS3 and downloaded a franchise file from nfl2k5rosters and it has all teams as user controlled. How do I change the controlled team to just one team, like the Chiefs. Any help on this would be great, I'm pretty much lost."You guys line up alphabetically by height."

Re: NFL 2k5 PC Editor Bugs/Comments/Requests Thread
Hello I'm new here (obviously). I used to play 2k5 on my PS2 every single day... but then it just became outdated. A lot of the players/coaches have changed since 2005. It just didn't seem realistic anymore after a couple of years... so I quit... but THEN I found operationsports.com where I've discovered that its possible to edit/update the franchises and the rosters. Now I have a question...
Is there a PC version of NFL 2k5? This thread has the abbreviation (PC) in it so it made me wonder. I'd love to have it on my PC.Last edited by BuccaneersJunky; 07-16-2010, 02:59 PM.Comment

I'm currently playing on PlayStation 2 and quite honestly, the main differences between Xbox and PS2 are the following -
1) 2K5 easily looks better on Xbox but the PS2 version still looks damn good. Xbox version seems more crisp and clearer at least from what I remember.
2) The Xbox version has custom soundtracks and while I had an idea about this years ago, I couldnt get it to work the way I wanted it to so I scrapped the idea but for those who love this feature, its Xbox all the way.
3) The Xbox version has a patch that eliminates the "clipping/negative yardage penalty" glitch for offensive plays but still remains on special teams plays. I have every penalty maxed out and in three games, have only seen the clipping penalty glitch once and it was on a punt return. As long as its just here and there, its no big deal to me.
4) The Xbox version has a built in hard drive that allows you to see "video" highlights during the halftime and postgame shows. On PS2, its just "photos" unless you're like me and have the PS2 HDD.
5) Transferring roster and/or franchise files to and from your PC is the quickest, easiest and simplest on Xbox. PS2 takes a few extra minutes and requires the PS2 Save Builder program for your PC but I dont mind it.
For FINN's editor, go to -
http://www.nfl2k5rosters.com
You'll see version 4 on the left side which includes the ability to edit PS2 Max Drive files.
I'm in the process of creating a 2010 roster for PS2 that will hopefully be finished after the NFL's final cuts that will include EVERY 2010 drafted rookie, updated rosters, head coaches, ratings and schedules.
If you dont want to wait, you can always download a 2010 roster or franchise file thats already been posted on the above web site.
Hope this helps.Comment
