My guess is they have a bad sim engine. This is one thing they haven't fixed since 2k came out.

I don't think it's a priority for them or something that is too entrnehced in the programming. I don't know why that just can't put the last polish on the game.

They have a lot of great features in the game. But before they get all crazy with a crib mode, the should have looked into getting this right.

Still, this is the best video football game I have EVER played.

5 minutes is the best overall. that way running back and WR stats are closest, and QB stats are just a little out of whack.

4 minutes QB stats are perfect but RB yards are way low as ar WR yards, TDS, and receptions.

6 minutes, WR are about right, but everything else is outta whack.

i gotta say this truly disappoints me, but i'll get over it... the gameplay is simply, flat-out amazing...

ESPN football is the most realistic football game i have ever played , but IMO the sim stats do suck . The kick/punt return stats are WAY OFF! Simmed a whole season only to see someone lead the league with 643kick ret yds and someone else lead the league with 70punt ret yds

Personally, I almost like that more guys have 4000 yards. In video games, we all know that we can pile on the yardage to pad whatever stats we want. Piling on 4000+ is a bit tougher if you're also trying to get 1000+ for your back.

I would rather be in a dogfight for 2nd, 3rd, or whatever, instead of way out front (or way at the bottom).

What gets me is the tackles. Why can't they just lower the "realistic" number of tackles in sim stats? There is no way I'm getting 17 tackles a game with a regular defender on a non-15 minute game (which, if going 15 mins, would throw the offense completely off).

I am SO glad I'm not the only one seeing this issue with the whole 'tackles' thing! Been trying to figure out a way to negate those effects in the other sticky about sliders and all. Haven't heard anything since. Everything else is just fine for me, to be honest with you. Just those outrageous tackles, 18 tackles in a single game...rough estimates of high 200+ totals for a single player by the time the season ends. I can understand the 100-150s and all (Urlacher, Edwards for example) but my weekly prime time players are those CPU teams with guys averaging outrageously high numbers on defense...
