I don't read? Where did I say blocking was easier on PRO. I said the O and D lines cancel each other out for the most part on all levels, right? I said the defenders take better pursuit angles on PRO MAKING it necessary to get away from more defenders which is more REALISTIC. I also said I lower fatigue significantly which gets rid of any ability to chain moves like crazy over and over. But I don't read? Any credibility you had left after previous posts is fading quickly.

Yet you say tackling is also easier on pro and has nothing to do with positioning. If tackling is easier, how can the running game be easier?Comment

Re: Guide to better Defense!
Need help here crew, I'm what you call a D Line player. I think here is where you can "feel" the differences in the Pro/All Pro/Legend settings. You guys ever play with the power pocket on in practice mode? Give it a go and do it playing defense, after a few plays here and there turn off that power pocket. Remember do all this while controlling the D Line. Now when you play online play a few games on each level. I can swear the power pocket is on when playing the Pro & Legend settings pretty tough penetrating the O Line. On All Pro it seems the power pocket is off., you will notice the line collapses more often and don't form that nice tight package you get on the other settings. Maybe it's just me perhaps one of you guys investigate this through you experiences and post your findings.Comment

I don't get it, do you agree or are you just making ish up to disagree? It doesn't matter because when you say "breaking off of blocking is worse on higher levels" that tells me that you want the game to be easy for you as opposed to having to play harder to earn your results. Everything is harder when you move up levels.

Re: Guide to better Defense!
I'm gonna add my two cents here, because I have been playing religously on both Legend and Pro the past week and I just tried two more games again today to verify what I've already suspected.
On Pro I took the Redskins against the Bengals, two evenly matched teams. My opponent had near the same rank as me (both in the 500s on the Leaderboard) and the same winning record. He had Corey Dillon - and I had the Skins 4-star linebacking corp.
He juked, spun and Charged his way to over 200 yards before the half. He broke tackles from Arrington, my SS and anyone else I put on him. I played Zone; I spread the plays out; I tackled him while squared up, without diving. It was impossible to cover the flats and keep him from making big plays. It was 14-3 and I was already so pissed after being forced into throwing on every down to catch up (AGAIN!) on Pro, that I actually quit the game following my second interception.
The guy was a better joystick jockey than me and he knew it. I was clowned on almost every play. This was my last lesson in (once again) how sucky this game can be. I shall never play on Pro or All-Pro again.
After calming myself down, I went on Legend and took my Dolphins against the 43rd-overall-ranked best player on the Leaderboard. His default team was the uber-tough Eagles and he knew their playbook and personnel backwards and forwards. He'd beaten almost every other player in the top 100. (I'm only ranked in the 700s.)
We proceeded to have a GREAT game. I shut down Duce Staley (except for a couple good plays) and hustled after McNabb. I created turnovers and made great plays against ballcarriers in the open field. My defense was awesome and, although my offense struggled to get the running game going, I was able to open up the passing game for most of the first half. I made shifts, audibles and good reads to keep the game close until the end.
Finally I won, 24-10! I shifted my coverage at a crucial moment and made a big interception when he was driving for the tie, then held on to score one last time and salt away the victory. My running and passing plays were perfectly balanced and I held the Eagles to less than 200 yards of total offense.
It was my biggest-ranked win and cemented what I've learned after playing a week on Legend and going 9-3 (winning with various teams from the lowly Panthers and Redskins to the Packers, Rams and Giants): it's a better experience that rewards good play-calling over constant, never-ending arcade moves.Hostile 17
