      Re: NFL2k5 on PC

installed this on my pc about 2 weeks ago with the updated roster and franchise files.
the game runs smoothly, graphics dont look that dated.
I also like the fact that we can save in progress games.

Running this on emulator runs perfect, only one complaint. Is there any way to to get the halftime shows to be video instead of cut scenes?

        Thanks

No. That's just how the PS2 version was. Limitation of the hard drive IIRC.

Man I loved that that part of the game. Was hoping there was some hack to trick the ps2 emulator somehow haha oh well I'll get over it.

            Thanks

                  YES. theoretically.

If you installed the official HDD to a fat PS2 you got the replay video halftime show. So, if you could emulate a HDD using the megadev9 plugin.... I'm working on it

Half time show video confirmed working on PCSX2 !!!!!

You must have a virtual HDD.
Create one that's big enough using a dev9 plugin, format it with ulaunch.elf, and BOOM Chris Berman baby!

gza036 - will you please share the steps on how to format the vhdd using ulaunch.elf? i found the megadev9 plugin and setup the vhdd, but am not familiar with the ulaunch.elf and format steps.

i would like to set this up to have video instead of slideshow halftime reports.

                        please help

Haha just saw this, excellent and thanks for confirming it! Saw your post on the PCSX2 forums too, thanks. So, looks like this will need 40GB space. Hm, a bit much just for this but I guess worth it to finally see PS2 2K5 highlights in movies, if at least for a while. It's been about a year since I've used PCSX2 so I'm a bit rough but when (if?! lol) I finally manage to set the HDD up with dev9 I'll post a tutorial exactly how it's done for everyone else. That is, if you don't want do it first? Thanks again for all your help pointing us in the right direction, cheers!

Just a quick tip: I noticed that for me it's better to swap L1 and R1 for L2 and R2 in the PCSX2 controller config. For the simple reason that (with my xbox360 wired controller at least) the replays will now work properly in slomo with the analog triggers so you can control the in-game replay speed. You can then change the config in-game to swap the buttons (but will show as opposite in screens like say the uniform selections). Like I say, just a quick tip that might improve the gameplay experience for you. Cheers!
