Any way to put custom music into the game?

It should be possible since the option in the menu is there. If not, then just cue up a playlist in iTunes (not a great solution)

It should be, but I don't know how to access the folder where even those music files are stored for the game. Hope ya'll figure it out!

Anyway, as far as cuing something up in iTunes, it doesn't work if I'm trying to get music to play for certain scenarios (FOX Sports theme for the opening, blah blah song for a touchdown, etc. all through stadium reverb). If you're referring to menus, then the iTunes route is fine I guess.

By the way, does anybody get input lag for this game? I noticed it's not due to the controller as using keyboard keys provide the same lag. But is this a result of my computer simply being "too slow" in this case? Just curious. Thanks.

^ Oops sorry I didn't try it myself, I was just thinking about another game where I was doing that exact background music thing currently (TIE Fighter). For some reason, Windows Media Player (and VLC) wasn't playing properly when I hit the FN + F7 on my k/b but in iTunes it worked properly. I just guessed that iTunes would play in the background where other players didn't. And yes, I like playing that FOX Sports theme too (by Scott Schreer)

I was able to run this on pcsx2 1.4 with my 2012 laptop (gt650m, i7-3610QM 2.3 ghz) . I put the preset speed hacks to 4 (aggressive) and had to lower the resolution to be 720p, otherwise the field texture looks horrendous. I'm also using the patch (pscx2 site, search espn 2k5, view notes, a few posts down is a link to it).

So far I've loaded franchise up, did a few plays and experienced no lag. I simmed to the end of the game and it didnt freeze at all.

I'll report back soon if i'm able to get the roster loaded successfully and sim thru a season.

When I used the settings other people had success with, i was at about 50% FPS so this seemed to do the trick.

                ALRIGHTY

Got it to work super smoothly. Played a game in full, all the highlights worked.

The field was very very jagged at first, so I had to play around with my video plugin settings. I finally got the turf to look real by turning 8-bit textures off and setting anti-aliasing to 16x. This did not affect performance.

Took a bit for me to convert the 360 rosters and get it on the PS2 memcard but it finally worked.

Hello, I have asked similar from a post I read back in 2016. I recently got back into 2k5 on the PC and figured out how to get the hdd configured to get the Berman halftime video highlights working with PCSX2.

I just put together a video. Please like and sub if you find this helpful and have fun playing on PC!

Has anyone else had an issue with the HDD on Pcsx2 where it will disconnect in the middle of the game and give you a message to reconnect? I'm using the CLR Dev9 plug in.

Yes and I have yet to find a solution. Also if you save a game and come back to it, it will mess up with the HDD as well

Yeaeh I have been saving things on the HDD. I'm gonna try to not save anything to it and see if that solves the issue.

                            Hey guys

I have 2 problems involving 2k5 for PC. One problem i am having is when selecting a play while in game, it starts to glitch / screen flicker and the 3 plays tend to mess up and disappear. My other problem is when instant replays show , they become laggy and choppy frame by frame. Any fixes for this?

Thanks Everyone and i hope i can get this fixed

I'm ashamed to say I never played 2k5 before...tried it out the other day though since all madden 20 reviews are disappointing and wow. The level of detail in this game is insane. I know the answer to this already, but how is a game that is 15 years old so far ahead of current NFL offerings.

I'm guessing this is fixed with sliders, but in my short time with the game so far I have been a but disappointed in the on field experience. Passing carries very little risk, both me and the AI, as the db's seem to lose the ball when it gets close. I've seen a ton of passes into triple coverage in my short time with the game where the defenders tracked the receiver but didnt attempt to make a play on the ball.
