I'm guessing this is fixed with sliders, but in my short time with the game so far I have been a but disappointed in the on field experience. Passing carries very little risk, both me and the AI, as the db's seem to lose the ball when it gets close. I've seen a ton of passes into triple coverage in my short time with the game where the defenders tracked the receiver but didnt attempt to make a play on the ball.

Well, you're right that sliders do help. I don't agree with the more popular slider set that I tried at the time and made my own tweaks, but you'll even see within that set just how different things are from default sliders (even back when I had way different sets):

You'll see my impressions of them as well and how I didn't dig some of the things much, but within that set you'll see passing all the way down. So some things definitely are to change.

The only time I really have DB issues is when I try and switch to them a moment or two before I have to make a play on it. That's when they take the really bad angles for me, and I can't pursue the receiver again after that.

The gameplay is by no means perfect (especially with minimalized kick and punt returns), but it is certainly very fun.

I've also always played this game on the Fast play speed, except when using FPF mode.

      Re: NFL2k5 on PC

Okay so I'm Kind of stuck at this point.

      The Emulator is running fine.
I tried importing the new rosters and that seemed to go well, too.

When I start the BIOS and check the Memory Card I can see the roster file saved there. However when I start the game and try to load the roster I can't even see the file.

      Any help on that?

      Greetings,

      Daniel

Just to be sure, did you press R1 and check the other memory card in your slot? If you have an HDD on there, it should be defaulting to showing that first, and then you have to swap over to your other memory card(s) by pressing R1.

Sorry guys, I made a mistake.

The problem is this: The Memory Card during the bios start up does NOT show the files I copied using MyMc. I can see them when I load the virtual Memory Card in MyMC, but I can't see them in the Emulator itsself or in the game.

Then make sure that memory card is loaded into your MemoryCard Manager. On the main dash, go to Config -> Memory cards. Check that either Port-1 or Port-2 has that particular memory card inserted in. If not, eject one of the original ones so that you're able to insert it.

In case something else gets wonky, after that what I recommend that you do is a boot without loading your ESPN NFL 2K5 iso, then check the browser and make sure the card is there. Without rebooting, load ESPN NFL 2K5, and play the disc within there. Hopefully the memory card will be in at that point.

If you're able to get the file loaded up and everything, at that point it's wise to simply save that state if possible. I generally just load states whenever I play the game, and skip anything else I might have to do (especially when it comes to properly loading it in widescreen, because you have to do similar tricks as in the paragraph above when it comes to the system configuration).

I think I haven't explained the problem clearly enough.

I can see the Memory Card and all the other files I have saved there ( like my VIP file, my Settings file, etc.) in the BIOS as well as in the game. What I can't see however are all the files I put on the Memory Card using MyMC (all roster files)
I can't see those in the game, neither can I find them during the BIOS Startup within the Chosen Memory Card (which I can see and open in the BIOS).

Well, I don't know what MyMC is. I also don't remember how I once did a file transfer for like 2016 rosters or something. I'm waiting for newest PS2 rosters to come out in the other thread, then I'm going to start asking about it.

Sorry that I can't be of more help.

Don't worry, man. You've tried and thanks a lot for that

MyMC is a tool which is supposed to Transfer savefiles like rosters onto your virtual Memory Card.

This seems to be the Problem. For whatever I just can't get the rosters to load up onto the Memory Card. Been trying everything for Hours now that's how desperate I am to play with new rosters

                    Re: NFL2k5 on PC

I'm running into a new problem now. I am able to get to the point where I can start my season, but when I try to sim to my first game, the game locks up while it's simming all the AI games before mine and then the emulator crashes. I'm using PCSX2. I have tried the patch and it seems to make the game run worse.

It ran fine prior to me applying the roster update/the patch, so there's something wrong on that front i think.

                    Here are my specs

hello, I'm a new user on the forum. I have PCSX2 on my gaming PC and have enough space to give the hard-drive but I don't know where to begin to set things up so I can watch the half-time show in motion video and not just still images.

Can someone please help me? please.
