Re: This game has BAD AI!

This is by far the worst AI glitch on the game......

your WR has the DB beat by a mile. Your QB throws a beautiful lob pass. However, instead of catching the ball in good stride and running it in for a TD, the receiver FREAKING JUMPS UP IN THE AIR, 5 YARDS BEFORE THE BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

    Incomplete pass. WTF Sega?
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

The ball spotting errors do happen quite a bit but you can challenge them. While the game has some problems, it is a lot of fun and does a lot of things very well. I may be in the minority but I think the biggest advantage VC has over Madden is in the passing game and your ability to hit a WR in a seam while Madden's DBs react too fast.

This is the perfect forum for laying out suggestions for improvement for ESPN. That being said...

Yes you can call a challenge but note this. Errors like the spot of the ball and the wacky 3 steps not out of bounds was programmed into the game to facilitate the use of the challenge system.

To enable a challenge system in any game you have to program in errors so that you can call a challenge. ESPN's challenge system needs to be severely tweaked. For instance, how many times in an NFL game do teams challenge 'the spot of the ball' for a first down? I'll answer. How about almost never. The reason being is because there are measurements by the chain gang. ESPN has way too many spot of the ball errors. Not to mention the out of bounds up the sideline that almost never gets called.

The other glaring thing is special teams. I've studied replays on all modes and they really need to tweak this area. Guys DO NOT stay in their lanes. An avid gamer can quit easily run to one side and then run to the other side right up the side of the field and get monsterous field position.

The running game can be looked at again too but I'm sure they're on that already.

      Peace
