Re: Joe Montana Football 16 Looks to be a Mobile Game, Utilizing Unreal Engine 4
A departure from tradition is an exception, but a tradition remains the norm regardless of that exception, so his point is well taken.
Besides, Madden 25 was a bad title to begin with for a number of reasons, one of which was the fact that it was the 26th edition of Madden, not the 25th.
I expect Joe Montana Football 16 to come out this year, if not oh well. But I wouldn't be using Madden as a barometer for that. The Madden dev team's way of doing things in numerous regards is a departure from reality.Comment

Well, for anyone who was worried, you can breath easier now.
EA has nothing to do with this game. Looks like FaceMask was right, that photo appears to be nothing more than a work sample.
#BRINGBACKSIMFB @BRINGBACKSIMFB
@GeDDeN7 @DamonGrow I'm hoping so. Worried about the EA thing though. People spotted an EA logo on one the pics they put out. Real worried.
Damon Grow @DamonGrow
@BRINGBACKSIMFB @GeDDeN7 100% certain we aren't working with EA
Cool. The prom queen crash-dieted, and now looks hot again for our date.Comment

Let's hope that 2nd place Damon posted is somewhere near Rockstar Leeds office then.
I couldn't find the building in my searches. The San Francisco office posted is home to Flying Wisdom Studios, a mobile company. It could still be a start up or mobile but the work samples of JM 16 I've seen are way better quality than the other games from that studio if you ask me.Comment

You're from there though so you probably have as good of a chance as anyone. We're looking for this building, somewhere in northland England, with fingers crossed it's near a developer office with connections to take two...
Does it look like an inn in town or a certain neighborhood?Comment

I wonder why they're being so secretive at this point. You'd think with the lack of football in the gaming market, they'd be giving us a ton of updates as they progress. If they really want this game to sell and compete with Madden, the sooner they start marketing it the better. I, for one, am very excited about the possibilities and hope 2K is somehow involved. If not, then I hope one or the other two companies mentioned in previous posts has a strong feel for football. Been way too long to have been stuck solely with EA and Madden.Comment

As for the search. Hyde Park seems like a possibility and its in Leeds near the office. But maybe a lot of English neighborhoods are designed that way.

Well, if 2k is involved, I would understand. APF was the first game in years to not have numbered ratings. It just so happens that same year madden 08 featured a "weapons" system which players got ratings boost like a rocket arm. A real coincidence if you ask me. I would do everything I could not to let that happen again.

They had no problem saying that because of their earlier antagonizing stuff on Twitter about 'not just another roster update', etc. They know their audience.
Little if anything to gain confirming/denying anything else until they're able to make a more substantive announcement.Last edited by mestevo; 01-31-2015, 10:50 PM.Comment

Asked a few of my friends and nobody had any idea, so I'm not sure if it is Leeds.Comment

Realistically, will we be likely to see this game this year? Or is next year more realistic? It seems difficult to put a football game together from the ground up in the amount of time we have known about it. Unless they have been working hard behind closed doors before that.Comment

I was excited when Backbreaker was first announced. Then I saw the first screen, and the player model stunk to high heaven. I was highly disappointed.
Now, however, this really looks legit, and I'm excited again. Madden is stale, so something new and fresh is long overdue.
Can't wait to see more.Comment
