About the helmets: One thing that could be throwing folks off is that the logos on the helmets are much larger that you'd typically see, so if the player's head is turned to the side, the helmet could look like it's a totally different color.

After looking at the shot for the 300th time in the past 5 minutes its obvious to me JM16 is a college football game. Obviously this is a shot of Northern Illinois vs San Jose St. How can you guys not see that?

One thing to keep in mind as far as the lack of NFL logos is concerned is that is a pretty easy change to make.

I would not consider anything off the table until a final announcement.

Right now there is just too much speculation and hearsay around the game to write down anything and definite.

I don't think announcing the game was an NFL game over a twitter post would be the right way to announce it. Could just be that Damon and Joe thought they needed to release something to appease everyone since that post was making the rounds. Though they could have just released the picture to calm down the "omg its an NFL game" hype going around. I think there is definitely still a chance it could be an NFL game, but I don't really want it to be. I want all dem customization tools.

My first impression is mixed. On one hand I am disappointed that this doesn't carry the NFL license. I mean the rumors had me hopeful but now this photo basically confirms this is not a NFL game.

On the other hand the graphics look on par with next gen consoles and fairly detailed for the Unreal 4 engine. I like that part.

Although, I am concerned about how generic this image appears. As mentioned earlier, Joe looks to be on steroids and have the same triceps texture as the linemen. Lastly, everybody in this shot is WHITE as rice. Did anybody else notice that? LOL.

Not saying that is the case but there are reasons.

I am simply saying we know VERY VERY VERY little about this game right now. Making definitive statements about what it will and will not be seems premature.

Seriously, no need to reach now, let us enjoy it for what it is. A screenshot from a new football game. We don't even know if it's eleven on eleven. It does look like one hell of a 'mobile' game though. I am excited for more.

Personally i hope the rumors of it being an NFL game are false, as this pic leads me to believe. The reason for that is, it gives me a new hope this will be on ps4 as well as xbox and pc. Cause i refuse to buy an XBOX just for 1 game and id like to play this game . So im kinda glad its not NFL , or dont seem to be

I see where you coming from. Given what we know about the license, the cost of the license and the fact that no one has talked about it at all, not even any rumors have hit, it seems pretty unlikely to me.
