Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
That man is not telling the truth so don't even pay him no mind lol.
Anyways, I say after teams play their first preseason game, interest will start to pick up for him. H#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
teams will start to make a move for him shortly. love him or hate him he is way to talented. a good coach will find a way to get him on the field whether it be at QB or another spot. he is not as bad a QB as people make him out to be. not the best but very servicable. if you look at his passing numbers and then throw in rushing numbers you see why he is so dangerous. at one point he was a top 3 MOST exciting player in the league.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
^Hell, he was THE most exciting player in the league. I think he's gonna end up with the Patriots, unfortunately. I'd rather see him starting in the NFL, but if they want to run the Wildcat, who am I to try and stop them? lol.Comment

I must be the only one on here that thinks the death of the Wildcat will be taking place this year.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
The death of the RB oriented wildcat took place in 2007.
However, if Vick can pass and run as well as he did prior to his incarceration, the Wildcat can be a change of pace for a few more years if not forever depending on the team he signs with.Last edited by Cebby; 07-30-2009, 01:22 AM.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
Why do people all of a sudden assume that Vick will only be used in the wildcat when he's never played in that before?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
I don't think so. I think it'll be used sparingly by more than a few teams... more than say a flea flicker. I think a select few, starting Miami, will have a bigger place for it in the gameplan. Other teams with mobile backup QBs and/or playmakers on the bench at RB/WR (like Seattle, Baltimore, Minnesota, Oakland) will have some wildcat packages that will be used more or less depending on the game situations.Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
2. It's not like the wildcat is all that complicated. It's a few plays that almost every college team was capable of putting together in their limited practice times, so I'm sure Vick could master the 5-10 plays assuming he's still in decent football shape (which is a real assumption at this point).Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
Vick ran what amounts to a spread option play with Atlanta and many plays designed for Vick to get one on one with a defender and for him to read the DE. It was covered quickly on NFL Live yesterday and comments made that Vicks offense in Atlanta was essentially a wildcat offense. His success in Atlanta was based on his threat to run and throw deep. He was an inaccurate passer but his ability to both throw and run on any given play is the basis of the wildcat. When rookie Randall Cobb was told by this U.S. Marine that he was a big fan of the wide receiver, Cobb said, “I think I’m a bigger fan of yours.”Comment

Re: Michael Vick Discussion Thread
Since his reinstatement earlier this week its looking more and more likely that he will indeed sign with an UFL team. I just think he needs a fresh start and this new league is just what he needs. He needs to go to a club over there with a hard *** head coach like San Francisco's Dennis Green. Green would whip him into shape.

Vick Close to Going to the UFL
According to the United Football League website, Vick is strongly considering his options at this point. The UFL being one of the options. The commissioner has still not made any comment on the possible entrance of Vick into his league.Last edited by bigtxambition; 07-31-2009, 01:04 AM.
