For real. I preferred the years when we had a good defense and a mediocre offense, made it much more entertaining to watch, IMO. Now it has flip flopped and it's just not the same effect. This is the worst the D has looked in my time as a Ravens fan.

Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers.
Good game by the Ravens.
I don't do this often, but the Chargers should've won that game. Norv Turner is an absolute idiot. He alone cost the team this game. Horrible game management, horrible play calling, and his coaching, or lack thereof, fosters an undisciplined environment.
Too many bad penalties. Too many FGs in the red zone. Too many predictable play calls. No imagination.
You have the best QB in the league (arguably) having one of the best games of his career and you run a telegraphed play action on 3rd down and a predictable run on 4th down when the team couldn't run all day long.
Pathetic.
Again, this isn't to take anything away from the Ravens, but there is no excuse for putting the leash on Rivers on those last two plays and for kicking a FG with :09 seconds left in the half.

Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers.
Agreed. Although we had two games in our SB run where we gave up major passing yardage. But I hope Mattison wakes his *** up. There is a tradition of defense here an he didn't do well in this game. He picked spots to blitz and we did get pressure when he did. But he didn't keep the foot on the throat.Comment

What a mistake filled mess. Got to give credit to the ravens they did not make any, we made a ton, the difference in this particular game. That 4th down call is terrible, can't run the ball all day, but hey lets run it on 4th downbad call.

A.J. Smith is an egomaniac. I understand you almost have to be in that job, but he is to the detriment of the team.
He wanted to get rid of anything left over from before his time and put his stamp on the team. Period.
For some reason Norv Turner is well liked throughout the league and he must've said the right things to A.J. during his interview. The simple fact is the man is not a good head coach and this is the first time I'm being really vocal about it.Comment

Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers.
I don't see how any chargers fan can hate on Norv he called a damn good game 400+ yards through the air. What else do you want football is a game of inchs had Darren broke through and scored a TD everyone would have been on hits nuts. It worked last, no one bitched it didn't work this week.Comment
