their problem is that they are young , ver noticable in public and have alot of money. if you had all that money and a girl that fit all you want said lets get busy or you know she'll do it. i'm sure is hard.

There just comes a point in time where you have to keep yourself out of these situations. High profile athletes have got to come to the realization that their every move is scrutinized and they are always under the microscope. You're no longer just a regular guy going out to have a good time, you're a target and a target with a lot of money. This makes people do crazy things, and there are a lot of Women in this world simply waiting for their opportunity to strike. I used to go out with this girl (who I dumped long before this happened) that did something so foul to a pro athlete for money, but I won't go into detail here (you'll have to PM me for that one )

I say throw your own parties and have them monitored heavily, hire some people to be there just to watch (there are services that do this). It sucks that you have to take so many precautions, but either you do that or you leave yourself wide-open.

The sentiment is pretty much universal from Pittsburgh fans to just about everybody else.......Ben is most certainly not the sharpest knife in the kitchen. You'll see a few homers tirelessly defending him here and there with arguments like "oh like YOU'VE never gone to a bar and hit on a girl?! Ben's social life is none of you business!".......failing to grasp the simple reality that, while they are playing in The League, pro athletes like him are no longer allowed to live by the same rules we common folk do.

If you want to kill some time here's a very long thread about this story from a Steelers board I frequent. One guy literally spent all weekend defending Ben on this thread.

Eh, she looks good except yes, her face looks REALLY young.

I hope that's not a commentary on what Big Ben likes in his women. (You know the whole "she looks like a kid" fetish)

Anyways Ben is a fool if he thinks he can act like the jock that he has been all his life. He's a pro athlete now and needs to be more prudent in his decision making.

I would argue that Ben's treatment of women is more a problem than his partying. You can't climb of some chick you just met and say "thanks for the ride" and leave her on the bathroom floor. You treat people like that and they'll retaliate. I think if he had more regard for the people he was with he'd be in better shape.

shotgun my question is this.how much does it take before fans and steeler exes push back on ben?

he is an icon around these parts, but his judgement off the field is about to get him an appointment with the commish.

                  Re: Ben Roethlisberger Accused...Again

Fans are already pushing back in a big way. Read through some of that thread I posted on the last page.........usually that site has an abundance of Ben Homers. The disappointment and anger is pretty much universal aside from a few die hards who apparently like the taste of Ben's meat stick.

Was listening to Colin Cowhurd today and he said Ben was getting almost no support from Pittsburghers calling in and emailing.......it's hundreds of emails saying what a bad rep he has around town and how disgusted they are with his immaturity which reflects poorly on the Steelers. He also said that as far as athletes' reputations....Ben doesn't have a good one in the industry. It's all catching up to him and snowballing. Either it will be THE biggest wake up call and humbling experience of his life or it will be the beginning of the end for him.

This current issue grows any legs and you'll see the push back. I don't know what you're looking for though. I don't think they'll move him or anything.

If he's charged, expect an indefinite suspension. The fans will turn on him in a minute if they think he's a rapist.

But...if he's just a cad, I suspect the fans and team will forgive him that.

not really looking for anything really, but a response from a steelers fan that's all. i haven't been right with his actions since the motorcycle crash. he didn't get much or any trouble with the law since he was driving on a motorcylce, with no helmet and an expired drivers permit. if that was me and caused that accident i would have at least go thirty days in allegheny county.

People say that alot ("if it was me...") but it's not an athlete thing, it's a money thing. We don't hear about court cases of CEOs, surgeons, etc. I'm only guessing that you're not in the same tax bracket as Big Ben of course. If you are, I can tell you now, you don't have much to worry about.

We do hear about actors and musicians all the time. So maybe it's a fame thing...

Guys in general like young women. It's biological. Ben is still young himself.

As you said, I don't think simply partying is the main issue either, but it is about the situations he's putting himself in. When you're a high profile guy like that, you really can't do things the same way everyone else does anymore.

As for his treatment of Women, that seems rather personal enough to require firsthand knowledge. You'd have to fill me in on that. But too often we pretend as if the Women in these situations are always innocent, but we later find (just like with his first accuser) that they were anything but. So many Women are out to get something from these guys, that's why I say they have to take more precautions than the average guy no matter what situation they're in. The Women have to be held accountable as well, but they usually aren't. They make false accusations and ruin a man's reputation forever and they never get arrested, never do a day in jail, and never get fined a penny for it.

This young lady's Myspace page......which isn't set to private.

fi (anj3l_f1bz)'s profile on Myspace, the place where people come to connect, discover, and share.

She would've been wise to delete her profile or at least remove some of those party pics. Too late. I'm sure Ben's attorney is already all over it.
