Re: Ben Roethlisberger Accused...Again
I disagree, and as a Jags fan you should too. I think it was Steven A. Smith who said Goodell has been consistent and I agree, but not in the way he meant it (he thinks Ben should be suspended too). He's been consistent in not acting before letting the legal system do their job. Matt Jones went unpunished while he waited a verdict. Same with Vick, Pacman, etc. Nothing will happen to Ben until it's determined whether or not he did any of these things, and even if he loses the Civil case, I doubt the NFL would punish him for that.Comment

If he is proven guilty then the NFL will get him. Gotta wait for the courts.Comment

Re: Ben Roethlisberger Accused...Again
The Matt Jones thing was different because there never was a verdict. He went to drug court and the verdict was postponed until after his treatment and probation period. As long as he did everything the court said and was clean, then the verdict would never happen. Everything would be dropped and removed from his record. He never was convicted of anything because in the eyes of the court, it never happened.I disagree, and as a Jags fan you should too. I think it was Steven A. At the very least, Goodell needs to have a meeting with him to discuss his actions. At this moment Ben did nothing illegal, but his continued actions don't make you look fondly on the NFL.Comment

Re: Ben Roethlisberger Accused...Again
That's actually why it's the same thing. As of right now, Ben has done nothing wrong. He went to a bar/club, talked to some women. That's all we know. For Goodell to assume anything more would be wrong, and the union would have his head. But to Goodell's credit, with everyone crying unfair treatment, ruling with a hammer, etc. Goodell hasn't made a move without solid information from the court system, and he won't here either. The Matt Jones thing was different because there never was a verdict. I could maybe understand a rookie getting into this situation but Big Ben is almost 30 years old. This guy needs to grow up.Comment

So Ben says he didn't have sex with her, and she 'slipped and hit her head' causing her injuries. So far, Ben through his attorney's decision, hasn't consented to a DNA test yet.

Re: Ben Roethlisberger Accused...Again
That doesn't sound good. He was in the restroom with her and she hit her head. Then you should have gotten some help and there should be witnesses of you getting/attempting to get help. He puts himself at the scene of the alleged crime, so that means the cops must have some DNA. Longer this goes on, the more he is going to look guilty. He hasn't given his DNA, but that could just be the lawyer saying not too.So Ben says he didn't have sex with her, and she 'slipped and hit her head' causing her injuries. Whether Ben is telling the true or not matters very little to me. How the hell he is getting himself into these situations is a MUCH bigger deal.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Ben Roethlisberger Accused...Again
Maybe they were in a stall groping each other. Then he whipped out his "friend" and when she saw the size of it she started laughing uncontrollably, lost her balance, fell and hit her head.
Yeah, that's the ticket.
