Apparently Jerry Hughes was the last guy remaining on the Colts 1st round draft board. Polian said several teams contacted them interesting in a possible trade for their 1st pick and if Hughes wasn't there they would've traded down and out of the 1st round. Glad he was there as he who I wanted with that 1st pick(I either wanted him, Dan Williams, or Jared Odrick).

Well IMMMM happy with Matthews. Did we give up a lot... Yeah.
Could we maybe have had him at 28?
        MAYBE.
Considering Lions traded BACK IN at 30 (?) to grab Best.

I wish we would still have that 2nd, but we have a 3rd and a mid to high 4th and we dont have THAT many needs.

Hoping we get Troupe (NT) in the 3rd round and we should be set.

I cant wait to buy my Matthews jersey

Any chance San Diego trades a player for an earlier pick? Friend back home in SD seems set on AJ doing this

I really doubt it, I think C.J. Spiller going to the Bills changed the complexion of the draft for running backs. I think definitely Houston would've picked him if he was there, but I also heard that Seattle was considering him for the 14th pick. The draft is deep in running backs, but whatever these guys saw in Ryan Mathews must've convinced them that they couldn't hope for him to fall to the 28th pick.

Rumors are still flying around that either Merriman or Sproles could be traded in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chargers find themselves back in the second round though. AJ sure does have a knack for giving up future picks for draft "now".

With Clausen not going today, does that mean Erin Andrews spends the night at his house?

Same with Colt McCoy and Jenn Brown?

Yeh. I would rather Sproles go then Merriman.
Im not set on English yet, and we have Phillips who isnt signed long term either.

Merriman has something to prove, and I love his personality. If he doesnt bring this year then oh well, English will hopefully have developed by then.

I just dont wanna see another Rodney Harrison situation...

Friend listed Merriman, Floyd, Phillips and maybe Jackson

I wont complain if any get traded, they're hard enough to go up against twice a year

Bears fan so.....Nothing much to talk about.

But my brothers a Rams fan and he wanted Suh and got even more annoyed as it played out that they could have went Suh in the first and likely Clausen in the second.

                        Re: 2010 NFL Draft Thread

Rumors are circulating that Texas DE/OLB Sergio Kindle's stock fell Thursday night because of microfracture surgery.
The information is available in an article on Rivals.com, behind a pay wall, but can be accessed with a seven-day free trial. Kindle did have knee surgery prior to the 2008 season, so a microfracture follow-up procedure would be a serious red flag. The source here isn't the most reliable, but it's definitely a possible explanation for Kindle's fall out of the first round.

nice to see Dallas target their best player available instead of reaching for need

what did Denver give up to move up for Tebow? a 3, 4, and 5? Is that right?
