Re: Official 2011 NFL Predictions Thread
I saw a few 'experts' have it, though. I remember a few times that being a 'sexy' pick a few years ago though.
It's about time that one of them lives up to that hype.Comment

Chargers are a decent pick to go deep in the playoffs, but I think they are pretty firmly behind the Pats, Ravens and of course, the Steelers.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Official 2011 NFL Predictions Thread
I would be excited if Dallas made playoffs, sure. However, that does not make it a successful season. Forget last year, the team is talented enough, there is that word again, to make noise.
Same with the Chargers.
I was just making a observation that it was a popular pick a few years and both haven't lived up to the billing.Comment

Re: Official 2011 NFL Predictions Thread
Lol at everyone blindly picking the packers to win the nfc north and make the sb or nfc championship. Does anyone remember they almost missed even being in the playoffs. They snuck up on teams last year, this year everyone will be out to hit them in the mouth. You'll see they host the saints on opening night. They will maybe win 9 games this year. All my opinion, but I think their team is very overrated and thin.
I also remember going through each teams schedule and analyzing each game to try and make "accurate" predictions. What a waste of time.Last edited by BlueNGold; 01-03-2012, 02:20 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Official 2011 NFL Predictions Thread
Boy was I wrong about the Bucs they really went into a tailspin... Also I put waaay too much faith in the Eagles, that big off-season amounted to a lot of hype and they didn't gel in time.
Never saw the Bengals, or 49ers being good, but meh they snuck up on just about everyone.
AFC I pretty much got ok, just missed one wildcard with the Jets.Minnesota Vikings

Re: Official 2011 NFL Predictions Thread
Hmm lesse...
AFC North
Ravens: 12-4
Steelers: 11-5
Browns: 8-7-1
Bengals: 3-13
Not far off up top. Disaster in the bottom half. Ravens did win the division.
AFC South
Texans: 9-7
Jaguars: 9-7
Colts: 8-7-1
Titans: 5-11
Well the Texans won. Otherwise horribly wrong.
AFC East
Patriots: 15-1
Jets: 11-5
Dolphins: 5-11
Bills: 4-12
Pats won and did get the 1 seed. Jets failed. 1 and 2 games off for the Dolphins and Bills. Order is right, records aren't.
AFC West
Broncos: 8-8
Chiefs: 8-8
Chargers: 6-10
Raiders: 6-10
Broncos win with a 8-8 record. Right on. Rest isn't right but not far off.
4/4 on division winners here.
NFC North
Lions: 10-6
Packers: 10-6
Vikings: 8-8
Bears: 7-9
Well the Lions are 10-6...
NFC South
Saints: 13-3
Falcons: 12-4
Buccaneers: 9-7
Panthers: 2-14
Right on with the Saints,Falcons were 2nd and in the playoffs. Disaster at the bottom half again though.
NFC East
Eagles: 16-0
Giants: 8-8
Cowboys: 7-9
Redskins: 4-12
Bottom half not far off, swing and a miss up top.
NFC West
49ers 8-8
Rams 8-8
Seahawks 4-12
Cardinals 1-15
49ers did win so got that much right.
2/4 on Division winners.Comment

Re: Official 2011 NFL Predictions Thread
I had 8 of the playoff teams in, and I had the top two seeds of the AFC right. Would have had the Colts out of the playoffs obviously but I posted before Peyton was out for the year.
Can't believe I switched out the 49ers and put the Rams in in the last minute. Can't remember why I dropped the 49ers so low after doing that though. Argh.Comment
