IMO Miami might be the best opportunity to win championships. Imagine Brandon Marshall and Reggie Wayne on the outside with D. Bess working the slot.

Manning has the ability to make average receivers look much better than they really are. Denver's receivers are more than serviceable. I think Decker and Thomas would thrive with Manning throwing them the ball. Plus, Denver's offensive line is pretty good. They have solid book-ends in Clady and Franklin.

I said this a while back haha.

I really just think somehow, someway, he needs to go to Miami if he wants to have a legitimate chance at winning.

Or he could go to the Ravens. I know it's hard to fathom that, given they have Flacco, but Flacco isn't even all that great. His arm with the Ravens D? Good offense, good defense. Championship level team.

The problem with Miami is that I don't think Peyton wants to be in the same division as the Jets and Patriots. Plus, the Dolphins have a first year coach. The AFC West is much more winnable than the East, or the South for that matter.

Oh, yeah, no doubt Manning's going to make any receiving corp. But just breaking it down man-for-man, I see Tennessee having more weapons than Denver. Not saying that automatically makes them more likely, but giving it a second look, can see where Tennessee would make sense.

Stokely on the local radio, interesting day for him and Manning where they're playing catch and tucking the football away when cars or people go by and look away. Stokely, Manning, Stokley's son and his friend went to the park and Stokely's son was leaving with a Manning jersey before they decided that wasn't a great idea.

Hopefully Stokely gave a great sales pitch for Denver since he wouldn't give all the details. He did emphasize that this place would be great for him and his family, along with a great organization. Stokely even said he would come play if Manning was up for it.

Yeah but, their recent struggles were almost exclusively due to awful QB play.

And ****ty coaching. And Sparano's out.

                    This. Miami+competant QB=Playoff level team

They can play. They just need an arm. The rest of the team may not be all star level, but they are good enough to win games... if they have that QB.

I agree. But then you look at all the playoff teams from last year. Only ONE team has big ol' question mark at QB. Miami had issues where you mentioned, but it's still an unknown. Then you consider that the Broncos are a team that made the playoffs and are on an upswing. The coaching, personnel, and players are there already. It needs ONE piece of the puzzle. Combine that with things like John Elway, and it's tough to argue against going to Denver.

                        But:

Denver + No Competent QB = Playoff Game Winning Team

Denver + Very Competent QB = Very Good Team

Denver has a strong run game (#1 in the NFL) and a great OLine. Plus, a great young WR set that can learn from Manning. Adding on Manning could give them a Top 10 Run and Pass game.

That #1 running game was in part the threat of Tebow running.

Willis McGahee, Lance Ball, and Jeremiah Johnson all averaged about 4.5 YPC. 4.8 for McGahee. Yes Tebow helped, but the Run game would have been fine without him.

I have to agree with this.

The fact of the matter is, Tebow was probably more valuable because he could run, than because he could throw. With a QB like Tebow, you have to leave a few guys back on pass plays, because he could always run it.

Without that, you may see even more guys on the WR, which will result in the same problems.

I'm not saying Manning wouldn't work in Denver. But I don't see the point in trading your QB in Tebow, to get only 1 or 2 years (if that) of Manning.
