I read Kam already racked up over $2 million in fines during this holdout. If he doesn't get a reduction, that would be one of worst gambles he could make.

That's almost all he earned during his first three years in the league.

Speaking of the Raiders, right now they're the only team who aren't using gold for the 50 yard line, and, according to the following link, they have no intention of doing so. Not sure I care either way about this, but I'd be lying if a small part of me wasn't smiling that Oakland is keeping it's tradition of thumbing it's nose at the league, especially given the horrendous non-suspension of Pacman Jones.

Mark Davis said they were only opting out of the gold treatment because of the Athletics, the next home game in a couple of weeks they'll have the gold like everyone else.

I love Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has never been in the right situation up until now. He is the only qb on the Jets roster that can lead them to the playoffs. He is a good leader and a much better qb than Geno Smith. The Bills should not have let him go.

Yeah, he's not good. Let's not overreact two weeks into a season.

The Bills went to great lengths to trick themselves into thinking he was a good QB, giving him an extension for a 6!or so game stretch. But it says a lot when your team cuts you before even drafting your replacement.

He's a good backup, capable of leading a team like the Jets through a few games. Wait until the end of the season and see where the Jets and his play is.

The Colts were already a bad defense and they were missing 2 of their top 3 corners BEFORE Vontae Davis went out with a concussion. The Browns are the Browns. Let's relax.

This is what career backups do to people.

They dupe people into false hope everytime and I don't get it. They're career backups for a reason.

So Michael Sam left the CFL because he said it couldn't make him a better football player.

Michael Sam was the first openly gay player to be drafted in the NFL and the first openly gay player in the CFL, but he still has his sights set on the ultimate goal of playing in an NFL regular-season game.

Expects to be on a team next year.

True. But the guy had a career year last year for the Texans. If he didn't break his freakin leg , they would have made the playoffs.

Well you basically insulted alot of NFL coaches and GM's because career backups get 2nd , 3rd, 4th chances all the time. Miracles happen. Drew Brees was about to be a career backup until he went to New Orleans. A guy sometimes works better in a different system. Look at what just happened to Matt Cassel. Lol Sean Salisbury was a better qb than that guy, yet the Cowboys believe in him.

We almost made the playoffs last year in spite of Fitzpatrick, not because of him.

I think Fitzpatrick gets a bit too much crap and I'd be happy having him as a backup on my team but at this point he's cemented himself one of those "one good, five bad" types, and that's likely being generous.

But hey, it's working so far. Good for them.
