Might be none of the above, the dustup over that recently seems to have been a misunderstanding headline-wise.

Twitter briefly disabled the account of the Gawker-owned sports blog Deadspin late Monday afternoon as a reaction to numerous copyright take-down requests from the NFL.

Al Michaels and Collingsworth is the best duo in sports.

Michaels is so dang good at what he does. I like Gruden's analysis more than Collinsworth's, but I wouldn't say he would be a better tandem with Michaels.

Michaels is still great, but at times his age (70) does show a bit. Not quite as quick as he used to be, but then again none of us are.

Michaels has definitely slowed down a bit but he's still top notch. He hasn't had a steep decline the way the other top football PBP guys of his generation did. (Summerall, Enberg and Marv Albert)

With all that said, he's been legitimately bad this year, which wasn't the case before. So even with a top defense, it may not be enough because his own skills are so diminished.

But the AFC is pretty weak this season outside of NE and if you believe in the Bengals or a surprise like the Jets to keep it up.

Good season long story to follow. It's funny because DEN has seen something like this before where their HOF QB couldn't get over the hump until he was given help by players around him while he was in the twilight of his career.

Okay, I wasn't too off the mark comparing Manning's SB winning year and this Broncos team. I was thinking more of what the Colts team ended up being in the playoffs, but it fits with what DEN is doing now while Manning struggles.

                  From Grantland:
The same is true of the 1985 Rams, but the only other team since 1970 to start 6-0 that also failed to outscore the opposition by at least 50 points in those six games was a team Peyton Manning will look back upon very fondly. That team was the 2006 Colts, who finished 12-4 and eventually gave Manning his only Super Bowl ring.
Makes me wonder... are teams sometimes a victim of their own great players? We know Brady, Manning, and Brees are incredible QB's and it would make sense that you put the game in your HOF'ers hands as much as possible. But are teams overdoing it? Are they sacrificing a balanced philosophy even if their team makeup favors certain positions?

But then you have last year's Broncos, who saw a fading Manning and tried to emphasize the rest of their offense to protect him and it was one and done for them.

I suppose there's no sure fire method. Personally, I've always favored the run game and allow the QB to make his money when he's needed and not every single play. But there's so many factors to consider like owner's demands, the player himself, coach's philosophy and system, and so much more. I just find these two teams (06 Colts and 15 Broncos) fascinating revolving around their QB. This might be the worst overall (mainly due to a floundering offense) Broncos team since Manning joined them, but I have a feeling they may see the most success. Because football makes no damn sense!

Didn't think there was such a big deal about making threads, lol. I don't even think either of you should have to make every thread. I'm actually still surprised this has become as newsworthy as it has. It takes 2 seconds to make a thread and I'm promising not to lock it... that used to be enough for most posters.

Guess we're about to see streaming packages for aggregate site and YouTube. No way the NFL ignoring that kind of exposure.
