They know/knew exactly what they were doing. If you did get that job, you'd just enjoy your check until they got caught doing something else and you became the sacrificial lamb.

      Maybe not lol
There is this, the obvious substitution fiasco, then I remember a few years ago they had some confusion about something. Not entirely sure but I think it had something to do with a fumble going out of bounds. Can't remember who it was against (might actually have been NE of all teams). I mostly remember Suggs talking with Skip Bayless about it. Skip was trying to twist what Suggs said to sound like he was claiming the home team was the recipient of "home cooking" and Suggs kept correcting him by stating they (primiarily Harbough) were confused on the rules.

You are probably right, and you would think they do know the rules, but there are times when things happen that just make me wonder (e.g. McNabb not knowing about the OT rules)

Super Bowls LIII, LIV and LV being awarded today.

          http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...815-sf26841815

Atlanta, Miami and LA in the running with new/improved stadiums,
Tampa and New Orleans in the mix also but it's unclear when they'll host again if they miss this round of games.

          Edit:

SB53: Atlanta (3 rounds of balloting, beat out New Orleans)
          SB54: Miami
          SB55: Los Angeles

New Orleans only bid on 2019 that due to conflicts the other years.

Missed opportunity, Super Bowl LV could have been Las Vegas! OK, not really.

We can thank social media for that. Not that I necessarily care who ESPN employs. They're probably paying her next to nothing.

Both Jim Schwartz and Frank Reich have came out "against the grain" per se in favoring competition between Carson Wentz and Sam Bradford, as opposed to outright naming Bradford the starter as Doug Pederson has established.

Not a chance. I vaguely remember what you're talking about (the play and Suggs' interview with Skip). It was another case of the Patriots exploiting the refs' ability to properly officiate the situation that Harbaugh was pissed about. Suggs was just giving responses to not feed into what Skip was trying to accuse him of saying without directly calling out the Pats or the refs.

They no the rules... they were trying to get away with something and got caught, that's all. Seems like a silly thing to attempt anyway... definitely won't catch me defending them on this one.

Is there any way this doesn't end up a mess, especially with Philly's fanbase? They're probably already gonna rain down boo's on Bradford for his trade request even with him rescinding it, I just see it as a toxic, lame duck situation that can't be cleared up soon enough.

They named Bradford the starter to keep him happy, but it should be an open competition based on merits. None of the three have done enough (or anything at all in Wentz case) to justify naming a starter without seeing action from all.

Now you've got high ranking coordinators (Reich being OC, oddly Schwartz coming out with this as DC) not exactly falling in line with what the HC and organizational heads have said. Reich did say there has to be order and competition (Schwartz seemed more to the point of competition straight up), but it's so easy for the media and fans to pick and choose and for things to get nasty quick and continue a distraction.

For a front office that used to rival NE in terms of paying for future performance instead of overpaying aging vets for past achievements, they've been caught with their pants down on two important offensive positions the last two seasons. Remember signing both Ryan Mathews and DeMarco Murray last year, and how it made no sense financially, structurally, and systematically? They one-upped themselves this year by making the most important position the object of their bungled vision.

Bradford basically has to play out of his mind and the team must have success for their not to be major drama this year.

Poor way to start of your first head coaching stint, that's for sure.

Was having this conversation with a friend of mine discussing injuries in the NFL...

What would you think if the NFL got rid of defenders dislodging the ball from the receivers? Basically all defenders would have to make plays on the ball in the air or wait until the receiver completes a catching attempt to attempt the tackle.

No way, offense already has enough advantages.

Um, yeah i'm not going to watch an NFL that makes it virtually impossible for the defense. That sounds like Pro Bowl level shenanigans.

It's not that far off from how the rules are now. No targeting, no using the helmet as a weapon and no hitting a defenseless receiver currently.
