I'll take the stadium being from the NES era, because the Bills were good then!

Sad to see Ralph Wilson Stadium lose its namesake since he brought the Bills to Buffalo, but I'm sure New Era brings some dollars to the table to help the team out and of course the Buffalo ties makes it actually not just a corporate takeover. Extra surprising because stadiums are struggling to find suitors to name their stadiums these days.

    Still gonna be the Ralph.

I've lived in MI for 30 years but I've been to three or four Bills games at the Ralph and there is nothing like it. My college was pretty well known for super raucous tailgating and the Bills tailgating was just insane. People were so drunk they'd fall asleep inside the stadium, one of the loudest places I've ever been. Saw a dude drunk dive down the cement stairs and hit his face on the upper deck balcony. Besides all that, its just an insane atmosphere

Per the link, it's actually a plea agreement, and the second one at that because the first one (9 years) was deemed too lenient by the judge.

James Harrison has agreed to talk to the league about the PED allegations, he would like the media there, and he called Goodell a crook.

Even though Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has now agreed to talk to the NFL as part of their ongoing PEDS investigation, the veteran, as you would expect, still isn’t very happy about being forced to do so. After Thursday night’s preseason loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Harrison did not hold back during his post-game talk with […]

He also wants the meeting aired on TV that way everyone gets to see whatever evidence they have, according to him.

And because of the way he's been "prosecuted and persicuted publicly in the Media by the league for something I didn't do".

                        Re: NFL Off Topic

I'd call Harrison paranoid if I didn't know how shady the NFL can be behind doors.

There's no way the NFL agrees to this. They have no reason to, and it would set a precedent going forward. They're just going to suspend him (maybe the others) and let the courts hash it out for the next 50 years.

I think the NFLPA realized they've given up so much and now are hoping players like Harrison will risk a suspension/their career to fight "the man" and make some gains for the players. I think it's insane that the most dangerous sport's players have the worst financial situation of all the leagues here. The next dangerous being hockey, but with a fraction of the audience at least their salaries more closely align with the sport's popularity. We've got bench players in the NBA making as much as some of the top players in the NFL. That's because of the recent unique cap inflation but still crazy.

That next CBA is gonna be a lot of fun, let me tell ya.

NFL players get roughly twice the money NBA players do, there are just 4 times as many of them.

Edit: other reasons contribute to it too, like length of career and the impact of rookie contracts - http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2016/7/2...ck-mike-conley

Not arguing the shady stuff the NFL does behind closed doors.

Though I can't pity the players for Goodell having all of this power when they agreed to let him have all of this power.

                              Re: NFL Off Topic

A lot of it already existed prior to this last CBA, I can't really fully fault the players for not seeing the confluence of social media and public pressure leading to where things are today. The backlash over the Ray Rice video for example, to put it how one of the Twitter talking heads put it on Twitter the other day - 'the NFL will never under-investigate anything again'.

For all we know this interview is a formality, it'll be a dozen questions and the answer will all be no - much ado about nothing. Or the NFL has a reason to continue pursuing it with these guys, even when the prior allegations involving Manning (who had no obligation to cooperate once retired) have been cleared away. IMO it's a little weird to ask 'what do you have on us before you ask us questions about it' like a toddler feeling guilty, but the union's gonna union.

In my opinion all the NFL wants is for these guys to interview this whole Al Jazeera thing can be finished and forgotten. The league wants nothing to do with distractions right now involving players with the name value these guys have. As said above, much ado about nothing.
