Seeing the official pictures sold me. It looked kinda washed out in the leak pic to me, but seeing the blue pop in the officials it really is just our 80's away, the helmet sells it. I'd be in for one if I didn't already have OBJ and Eli jerseys, I'll probably end up getting the t-shirt.

Man what do we have to do to get Giants on the helmets full time again? It looks so much better.

The old school "Giants" helmet is one of my favorites ever. It was so great that Illinois basically used that template from 1989-2004.

The reason is $$$. There are enough people with disposable income to make color rush worth it. I mean. Were from the same area youve seen the same people i have wearing the Skins "color rush" jersey for like 5 years now. The NFL and Nike just want to take money from bruhaman selling it in the babrber shops.

Yeah I know, I'm just doing some old man barking. I love the NFL but I hate how much money is changing the actual game. I get the player safety stuff (even though they don't care as much as they say they do) but preseason should be for practice, uniforms should be UNIFORM (ie standard) or at least be built to serve as they have in all sports for...ever, players shouldn't have to play on 3 days rest or after flying halfway around the world. It's all stupid.

To be fair, all color rush proceeds from sales go to charity. The first $500,000 are going to help cities hit by the flooding in Louisiana to help replace damaged football fields, equipment, etc. So I can't be that mad at them.

It really could allow a lot more flexibility with alternate uniforms. But I also don't really know the science behind having the rule (I dunno if it really helps reduces concussuins or not)

They did a "study" and found that players were more prone to get concussions when they wore different helmets with alternate uniforms a few years ago.

The rule is that players have to use the same helmet through the year to ensure it's properly fit for them (or something like that).

The Broncos are switching up their decals so it can be done but since the Chargers have white helmets it makes them more difficult to get creative.

Ah, I see. So the theory is that if I have this helmet that will only be worn once or twice I can skirt the rules a bit.
