It's been this way forever. CBS and FOX alternate the doubleheader every other week (for the most part) with the exception of week 17 when they both get a doubleheader.

It's all pretty much outlined in this stickied thread:

I actually thought Blake Bortles was gonna be a good qb.

Dude is just terrible though. Probably time to move on from him if he shows nothing the rest of the year like he has so far.

Yeah, he's got some good receivers to throw to too.

Also, Foles doing the chuck-and-pray thing a bit too much to generate a QB controversy in KC so far.

Playing a lot better, but has made 3 bone head throws right to defenders. I'm not ready to move on because OC was terrible. This game the run game looks great and if the WRs would catch the ball, the Jags may be leading.

Only in his third year as a top 5 pick right?

Unless they have another QB who can take over or acquire one, they'll probably have to keep him.

Then again if Bradley is fired, new HC and maybe GM will have other ideas.

Too many injuries. That defense can only do so much. A lot of people initially compared them to Seattle a few years ago with how surprising they were.

Difference was Seattle had an offense.

Edit: Watching a bunch of stadium officials chase a squirrel around Lambeau is highly entertaining. Like something out of those silly cartoons with some Benny Hill music chucked in the background.

I know you're a fan of the team and all so you are closer to the situation that way but to my mind Blake Bortles is a guy that has all the tools to be a really good QB but he has brain freezes that makes for some really BAD INTs. I get the feeling he's going to be one of those QBs that doesn't completely put it together until his 8th year or so in the league.

I don't know if he will put it together. He seems like he needs a coach to ride him all year to drive him to complete. He didn't focus as much on his throwing motion in the off-season and it's showing. There are some concerns on his brain, but I think it's more that he is thinking too much and not playing loose.

The rest of the year will show if he will be able to be a starter in the NFL.

9 weeks of NFL just about in the books. This league is littered with awful teams and bad coaching. I'm taking more than half. And that's to be nice as to not offend anyone.

I wasn't alive to watch Ken Stabler play football, so forgive the question - was there vitriol between Stabler and the NFL while he was alive? The tone of anything I read about his Hall of Fame candidacy reads like that his posthumous induction to the Hall Of Fame wasn't quite an accident.
I'm in the minority on this because I don't feel that family members should get the jackets and the ring. Everyone on social media has attacked my position but they never said why I was wrong, only that I am a jerk for thinking so. So why should they get the items? Ken Stabler was enshrined in the HOF, not Ken Stabler's family.

Sure it can be a nice gesture to give the items to the family, but here is the thing with nice gestures, you shouldn't criticize people or groups when they don't do it. Then it is no longer a nice gesture, it is an expected action.

Edit: Reading my post I came off harsh so I want to clarify something. I'm not opposed to family members receiving the items. What I am opposed to is the majority opinion of shame on you HOF for not doing so.

Eh I don't know. George was an ******* who thought way too highly of himself and his arm. I don't get that from Bortles.

I don't know about talent but in terms of career arc, he may be like David Carr... or the kid from the Lions who's name is escaping me. I actually think that's probably a good comparison (and you see how memorable he was lol).
