I don't even know what you are talking about. Had he gone home to Aliquippa and this had happened there, whatever argument you are trying to make would have at least had something behind it. I've said nothing one way or the other about "going home."

But as I've said now at least four times, that is far from what happened. He was in a safe part of Pittsburgh, after last call, with nothing but drunk people pouring through the streets.

He'll probably plea out to misdemeanor larceny or something or even misdemeanor assault and get unsupervised probation.

That's what a normal person would get for a case like this. Then again he might pay off the victim and just move on with life.

There is little to no evidence he assaulted either of them (IMPORTANT EDIT: That's as of right now. There are a ton of camera's everywhere in that area so I have no doubt the incident will eventually be seen). The only concrete evidence is that he took the phone.

All it takes is for the Jets or the league to fine Revis and the Jets can void Revis' contract without paying him.

Here's hoping they fine him so we can move on.

Yea but there are signs of injury consistent with being assaulted in the manner they stated.

One is claiming a fractured eye bone or something.

Sounds like a money grab to me...which is my initial reaction to 99% of these athlete involved stories.

Oh I agree, not to mention there is pretty much no doubt that everyone in this instance was quite intoxicated.

              Here's the official police report:

On Sunday, February 12 at approximately 2:43 a.m., Zone 3 Officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. 23rd and E. Carson streets for a report that two males had been knocked unconscious.

According to the investigation, a 22-year-old male from Kittanning was walking along E. Carson Street when he spotted a male who resembled Aliquippa native Darrell[e] Revis, a cornerback in the NFL. He asked if the man was Darrell[e] Revis and he confirmed that he was.

The male began recording the interaction on his cellphone and continued following Revis. At some point, Revis snatched the cellphone away and attempted to delete the video. Another 21-year-old male from Ross Township attempted to help the 22-year-old retrieve the cellphone. Revis then tossed the phone onto the roadway.

A verbal argument followed. A male came to assist Revis. Both the 22-year-old and the 21-year-old state they were punched then remember waking up to talk to police. Witnesses state the two were unconscious for about 10 minutes. The Officers viewed the cellphone video and confirmed that the person was Revis.

Charges pending against the 31-year-old Revis to include robbery, terroristic threats, conspiracy and aggravated assault.

I really don't see anything coming from this, I know that in a police report you can't use assumptions about witnesses as part of the claim but there are a lot of things about this whole situation that are missing.

I doubt the defense attorney (and he's a pretty good one) will have any trouble overturning the charges.

                    They ran fly routes.

                    Revis couldn't catch up...

Keep in mind it is very likely they were both highly intoxicated.

Also important to remember that there is a good chance that most witnesses would also have been highly intoxicated.

If this was the Patriots, people would be out in droves claiming Bill paid the guy to get knocked out. [emoji23]

The significance of the egos is probably the only thing we disagree on. TO may not be top 10 considering the many who are also still waiting... I just don't think that should matter anyway. All HOF worthy players should be in the HOF imo.

So I'm probably the only person who is wasting time today thinking about this, but it's Friday, I'm bored, and it's somewhat relevant to the combine next week, so whatever:

Does anyone else feel like the NFL promotes Chris Johnson's 4.24 forty at his combine workout years ago way too much? It would seem the league wants you to believe CJ2K the fastest guy to ever play football, in a league which has had borderline Olympic-level talents like Marquise Goodwin (ran a 6.68 60m at the 2016 Millrose Games in New York) and actual Olympic talents like Bob Hayes (won a gold medal in the Olympics in the 100m with a time of 10.06 seconds).

A linear transformation isn't necessarily appropriate or 100% accurate here, but let's do it anyway: Goodwin's 40 time at that 60m (65.6 yds) pace is 4.07 seconds, and Hayes' 40 time at that 100m pace (109 yards) would be a stupid 3.63 seconds. Heck, Darrell Green ran a 5.76s in the 50m (54.68 yds) dash in 1983 as well, that converts down to 4.21.

So yeah, please forgive my extremely trivial grievances, but I had to complain somewhere lol.
