Jumping player isn't allowed to touch the center at all, so I'm assuming they're trying to protect the jumper when the center raises up and flips them... and draws the flag!
I did find it kind of funny safety was the reason given, like we're not pitting elite athletes against each other on every single play. I understand cutting out the unnecessary stuff, but I love this play. It got too prevalent this year it seemed. We can't have nice things!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I agree with you but I think the Rams organization wants to make a clean break from a look that was connected to STL as that's what they wore when they won their only SB. I happen to like the old blue and white look but I agree that their old blue and yellow pallet pops better. One of the coolest images you can find are pics of games between the Rams and Steelers or against the Cowboys as well.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I totally agree. Perhaps I am a victim of nostalgia, but there are a handful of 80's uniforms that I miss. Tampa Bay (Yeah, I know most people hate the "Creamsicle" uni's, but I think they are great), New England, Seattle, LA Rams, Denver & the Oilers come to mind. Uniforms from back then had such a distinctive look to them.Comment

I became a Rams fan when I was 3 years old, and that was the last year that they wore the Blue and White unis. So even thought for all but one year of my fandom they have worn blue and yellow, I still think of the Blue and White as the OG uniforms.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Stadium finance comittee spun up today and go for a few days to consider the details of the Oakland and Las Vegas stadium plans. Oakland's mayor is presenting to them today (still largely said to be a non-starter of a deal), and Mark Davis is said to be presenting later in the week.
On Thursday there is a public meeting with the Stadium Authority in Las Vegas.
Will be surprising if there isn't a lot of new information, and should set things up for a vote in late March if the Raiders have gotten their ducks in a row for Vegas.
Edit: Raiders and Oakland done w/ presentations today. Oakland presented their pitch with all of the same problems that have kept the Raiders searching for a new home - what happens w/ the A's, lack of public money, etc. Raiders meanwhile have brought in Bank of America to cover the funding gap left by Sheldon Adelson withdrawing from the project.Last edited by mestevo; 03-06-2017, 06:17 PM.Comment
