Re: NFL Off Topic
If the reason that all this started is true about him being upset because she wouldn't bang his friend I can only imagine the self reflection.

You know I was thinking that as I typed and when I read and heard all this on NFL Network and from Schefter. It’s almost word for word the same story they gave for that situation

Re: NFL Off Topic
I still have questions. This isn't adding up. The Chiefs and NFL claiming that it's basically all on him. Chiefs saying he lied to them, NFL claiming they tried to get the video but the hotel wouldn't let them see it claiming a company policy to only turn the video over to police. The NFL allegedly contacted the police who also did not provide them with video. They "continued their investigation" despite no charges being filed and contacted the victims but they did not respond to multiple messages.
I just find it hard to believe that the NFL turned over every leaf trying to get to the bottom of this, the police did not help them, the hotel didn't help them, the victim didn't help them, Kareem lied to them, the video existed but nobody would allow the NFL or Chiefs to see it, the police apparently weren't charging anybody here because there was no crime and then the video that nobody wants to share magically ends up with TMZ almost a year later? That's awful convenient for the NFL's image.
I have a few friend's who work in the hotel industry. They have over the years shown me some ****. At anytime they could pull the trigger on a video.

Re: NFL Off Topic
But like I said above. It's a private situation. Hotel isn't going to have over the footage. And the NFL is just going to sit on it. It's not like Kareem lied or never said anything about it to them. It's the video being leaked that changes everything.

Re: NFL Off Topic
What can the NFL do here? Should they suspend every player that comes to them and say hey I just had this domestic thing happen. But no charges were pressed. Can I play?.... I guess so since your telling us. And this is all a private matter at this point.

Re: NFL Off Topic
I want people to think about the Zeke situation from last year. The NFL didn't have anything. The only reason Zeke is still in the league is because there was no video of what happened.
You have to wonder if the person who leaked the video had any knowledge of the effect it would have on Kareem career.
It's all a PR move. Ray Rice video has set the standard. Hitting a women is wrong (depending on the situation for me). But Ray knocked out his future wife. Dragged her lifeless body out of the elevator. Kareem here... Yeah he went a little too hard. But the damage has been done by Ray Rice.

Look at this timeline of events from the Ray Rice incident. It's crazy how similar the league's handling of things are. Hell it's actually worse now because at least they DID suspend Rice for 2 games initially.

They're claiming now that both the NFL and Chiefs have continued investigating this thing since February. Has any one heard one thing about the NFL trying to track down this tape? Has anybody heard a single report from any of these well connected reporters about this investigation still looming over Kareem Hunt's head? It's crazy to me how TMZ keeps scooping them on this. There is nothing TMZ can offer a hotel worker to slip them that video that the NFL can't if they really wanted to get this video that they clearly knew existed. Everybody's hands are dirty in this mess. I just find the NFL trying to backpedal out of it as warriors of virtue who were trying to do the right thing but just thwarted by everybody else involved laughable.Comment

The NFL should know by now that if there is a video, they better view it and assume it is getting leaked.
This hotel while independent is still under the Marriott name, so I'm sure the NFL could work to get the tape. This isn't some private or illegal in room video. It is the hallway and unless the floor is restricted to key cards, anyone can get up there.

Re: NFL Off Topic
I don't think it really works like that though jeebs. Obviously every case of domestic violence can't fall in the laps of the NFL to handle. If a guy beats the hell out of his girl in their home and the police aren't called and no video exists and nobody knows it happened, first a player isn't likely coming in and telling them he did that **** lol. But if he does, then yes they absolutely have to suspend them because they've taken on this stance in light of the Ray Rice situation that they are anti-DV and they take it seriously. Because they're stumbles have been so massive for all to see they are under huge scrutiny to get it right and to prove to people that this is an issue they do truly care about. Goodell was swinging the ban hammer around for every speeding ticket, weed bust and public intoxication case he possibly could a few years ago and then doled out a two game suspension for a guy dragging his girlfriend out of an elevator in a DV incident.

The best bet was to go through the police department. Not sure why that didn't happen."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I may be wrong but I don't think the NFL can just throw a wad of cash to a hotel employee to get them to release a video like TMZ (probably) did. Don't they have to release the details of the investigation to the PA and Hunt's attorneys?
