It’s the Terrell Davis argument. The numbers are kinda close. No hardware but maybe there could have been if Gurley is healthy against NE.

I just saw that Gurley hasn’t played since his age-26 season in 2020. Crazy how quick the career of a RB is. These guys get forgotten so quick.
Terrell Davis was the best RB in football 1996-1998... with Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith in their primes.

TD was arguably the best player in football period over that span.

Rushed for 2000 yards in 1998.. having sat roughly 8 quarters beacuse the Broncos were just smoking opponents.

    Rushed for over 1000 yards in 7 Playoff games 1997-1998, 8 tds, 5.6 yards/carry

Outside of Marshall Faulk, we certainly haven't seen anything close to this since.

Davis absolutely should be in the Hall. The precedent for dominant players with short careers was set when they elected Gale Sayers.

.. Gurley didn't dominate the way TD did.

I agreed with everything you said until the last sentence lol. He did it different. He's was a perfect good pass catcher out of the backfield.

Yes I don't think he's ok par with TD overall. But should be up there. I think so.

This is the most shady **** I've heard

Do not take Brian Davis bid seriously. He's been sued multiple times and those "billions" are probably not real.

Apparently, it was just them saying they're back in th draft lab and that It's no longer "F them picks "

I finally got around to watching Draft Day, and let me tell you it earned its meme status over the last decade. It's up on HBO Max if you gents want a quick fix before the real thing starts tonight.

Equal parts hilarious and sad, I was scrolling instagram and came across one of those spammy suggested posts. It was a "who was the best out of this group" post. The subject was linebackers of this era and it had the usual suspects of Ray, Patrick, Luke, Brian, Bobby, and Zac.

Check the comments and what do I see but Karlos Dansby writing essays about how he is better than all of them. The highlight was when some random fan told him he was a good player but not a HOF caliber like these guys, and Karlos replied "bro not a HOFer? I'm going to one next week"

He was talking about the Alabama Hall of Fame lmao

Definitely a candidate for some CTE studies

I've got bad news for you, Karlos. I've been in the PRO Football Hall of Fame TWICE.

Mike Tanier resigned from Football Outsiders yesterday. A single writer leaving isn't the worst news, but it's clear the financing fiasco over there continues and the FO Almanac has got to be in real jeopardy of being published at this rate

According to Prosecutors, he wasn’t even present at all:
