You can’t be serious. Irsay still owns the colts and he could have easily ran someone over and killed them driving the way he did. Not to mention everything else wrong he was doing at the time. You think kraft being forced to sell the team over a misdemeanor is even remotely a possibility? Come on now.

With the police saying there was no way anyone involved didn't know these women weren't being forced to do this, it makes it completely different. If he wants to fight this, it won't look good. If the video comes out, I don't know if it is recoverable.
It's not always the crime, but the PR impact on the league. Is he causing too many problems for the league? He was out in LA partying for the Oscars. With the shield broken now, someone is going to be digging to find something. If the NFL believes this is it, then he can probably make it through if he removes himself from his public partying.

Different time and crime. While Irsay could have hurt someone, there wasn't a victim. DUI is also somewhat of an accepted crime unfortunately as long as you don't injure someone else.

I don’t think you really understand this situation and are just going with a crazy hot take. This is a misdemeanor and there is a very good chance he doesn’t even have to attend court himself over this. He will just send his attorney, pay his fine and move a long.
I have no idea what him being at an Oscar party or his “public partying” have to do with anything. He’s not losing the team. Just asinine to even think that.
With the crazy leaps you’re making involving kraft here surely you think there may actually be a victim in the Irsay situation. Assuming you know it was much more than “just a dui”.

The group celebrations have gotten a bit OC:
The NFL seems to have gone a long way toward shedding its long-standing reputation as the “No Fun League” by relaxing its previously stringent restrictions on players’ on-field celebrations of big plays.
But it’s possible that the league will act this offseason to rein in those celebrations just a bit.
The league, at the suggestion of some teams, will give consideration to barring players from leaving the sideline to join on-field celebrations, according to people familiar with the NFL’s inner workings.
“If you’re on the field, fine,” one of those people said. “There would be no changes there. [But] there are some coaches and some clubs who don’t want to have players leaving the bench area to participate.”
The league’s rulemaking competition committee is to discuss the topic this week during its meetings in Indianapolis at the NFL scouting combine. If the committee makes a proposal on the issue, it would be presented to owners at the annual league meeting in late March in Phoenix and would need to be ratified by at least 24 of the 32 teams.
A violation of the rule, if enacted, would result in an illegal celebration being called against the offending team and a 15-yard penalty being assessed. Currently, the NFL rule book prohibits any celebration that involves baiting or taunting an opponent; includes a violent gesture or is sexually suggestive or offensive; or is deemed prolonged or excessive.
The league announced before the 2017 season that it would loosen its restrictions on celebrations, giving players more freedom. The NFL made using the football as a prop, going to the ground to celebrate (as with a snow angel) and participating in group demonstrations permissible.
The result over the past two seasons has been a series of elaborate, carefully choreographed celebrations of touchdowns by offensive players and turnovers by defensive players. The demonstrations have been generally well received, and the NFL is coming off a mostly successful 2018 season in which scoring was up and TV ratings rebounded.

It was cool when one team was doing it, but when you have every team doing it for every stop a Defense makes, it starts to lose its luster. Especially with guys coming off the sidelines.#RespectTheCultureComment

Either way, I would guess Kraft gives the team to a member of the family after the hearing in April and he goes off the scene to avoid further scrutiny.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

I got some Oceanfront Property in West Virginia if you think he's going to be forced into giving up the team in the next 2 months.
10 game suspension and a max fine will probably be his punishment.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
You are not considering the fact his actions are entangled with sex trafficking, whether he knew about it or not. That cannot be overstated as its literal slavery which goes beyond prostitution (albeit, as SF mentioned, it probably goes hand-in-hand in most cases). I doubt Kraft's misdeamenor charges get dropped with the video evidence the police maintain is pretty damning but if its proven there is sex trafficking that Kraft financially supported (whether knowingly or not), I don't see how he keeps the team.

Supposedly no intercourse took place here. He paid the receptionist, and went to a massage room and had his happy ending. Now if the video shows the act, and I think I read it does, unless the girl comes out with shackles on her feet and he mistreats her I doubt it will be must sell the team material.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
The best case for everyone would be for him to just step away. You have a 77 year old with a 39 year old girl friend who needs to go out and do this. He stops in before flying to Kansas City for the AFC Championship. Was his girlfriend there or even traveling with him? You have an old guy hanging out with famous people half his age at parties. We have already seen how this happens in Hollywood. It may be best for everyone if they just walk away and don't open any doors to have peopling looking in closets.Comment
