Surprising, no. But you'd think with all the horror stories and you'd think with all the resources these players have, that they'd be smarter and take proper measures.

I think most of them are, though. You don't really see this happening on a routine basis. AP just doesn't make good decisions lol.

Oakland lawsuit against the Raiders dismissed.

              30 page ruling: https://www.documentcloud.org/docume...laintiffs.html

The DOJ recently chimed in and pointed out the lost tax revenue can't be part of an antitrust claim, kneecaping a bit of their monetary claims and standing.

The fans leading the charge in this say they'll amend and resubmit by the September deadline to do so. Remains to be seen if anything is left that they could possibly claim treble damages for - which they somehow think will result in the Raiders being willing to part with their branding as part of a settlement.

              Delusional.

Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti, leader of Miami's No-Name Defense of the early 70s, passed away at the age of 78.

A couple years ago, he announced that he would posthumously donate his brain to CTE research.

Just a few days after his 71st birthday, Raiders great Cliff Branch passed away today. Probably will be in the HoF, unfortunately it will be posthumously like his teammate, Kenny Stabler.

When did SNF take over as the marquee matchup from MNF?

I think it was 2006. '06 is when we had the last NFL Primetime because NBC bought the rights to SNF and bought the rights to air highlights from the other games first, causing the demise of the NFL Primetime that was good, unlike the show we get now.

2006-2007 season was the first year NBC started broadcasting football again.

Preseason game in Canada not doing well ticket wise. And understandably so. About 10,000 so far will be there. Cheapest available ticket...nearly $200! $200 or more to watch a meaningless game? Can see why fans would pass.

Its Bills in Toronto all over again. Nobody wants to see meaningless football at almost postseason prices.
