Can’t even front...I’m not sure this will force Snyder out, unless someone wants it to happen, which knowing these Owners, I’m not sure is the case here.

Speaking only to the content of the article since the internet rumor mill got a bit salacious over the past 48 hours (I speculate there's more we may never know because lawyers).

What is in the article is horrible stuff. Full stop. Anyone involved in sexual assault or harassment should be shamed and, where appropriate, charged and tried in a court of law.

Does this article does enough to force Dan Snyder to sell the team: I don't think so? On one hand, I think Jerry Richardson was forced out from the Panthers for less. On the other hand, the culture of sexual abuse in pro sports is (extremely unfortunately) not unique to the Washington football team, so to that end I don't think the article, as terrible as the content within is, sticks the landing. You can go onto GlassDoor right now and look at NFL Network jobs in Culver City (where I'm located) and read coded language about how it's a "boy's club".

This is perfectly said. I agree with everything 100%. I was trying to find a way to post my thoughts without diminishing how terrible this is but you're spot on.

              $2B is not $4-5B. $2-3B, I can buy. $4-5B, I have serious doubts.

              I say "buyers market" because:

              A) there aren't a ton of buyers
              B) the owner has to sell (in the scenario we are discussing)
              C) the team is knee deep in **** right now (not just the owner but the brand and the organization) it's very different from the Clippers in that regard.

Shame on each and every reporters teasing the story like it was some trailer for a movie or tv show about to drop. Knowing the internet would what it does, causing rumors and speculation to spread and passed off as fact. Completely irresponsible on their part.

I think this is all part of the plan to force Snyder to sell. He changed the name so the new owner doesn't have to deal with the pushback from that. With the 15 women and sexual harassment they can get him to sell without hurting the NFL. If he holds out, the rest may come out, but it really hurts the NFL.

They had plenty of chances to force him to sell and they didn’t bother with it.

I doubt they’ll do anything now, even with this story. There is no plan and never was a plan.

At this point I have to believe that there was more to this article that ended up having to have been removed last minute. Can't think of any other reason it would take this long for the article to come out except for Lawyers being involved and the NFL trying to protect its image as much as possible.

Richardson was forced to sell for making racist remarks, and paying off 3 women for sexual harassment claims

Richardson was also beloved by the other owners with a decent amount of power in that group for owning one of the smaller market teams.

This sounds like it's at least in that level, if not worse.

                            Makes me wonder who's next?

                            KC Chiefs?
                            Atlanta Braves?
                            Cleveland Indians?
I'm not sure how you missed it, but the Indians are also putting "research" into their brand identity, and might change it.

The Braves announced they're keeping the name, but are looking into getting rid of the tomahawk chop.

The Chiefs aren't a derogatory term, so they have no need to change it.
