The NFL has no chance with letting the players go home every night and having their normal off days. The NFLPA doesn't even trust it's members to stay save. Players are going to continue testing positive until the all agree to isolate together in a team hotel.
MLB had had major delays with results testing every other day so far. They started with one lab but are using a second now.

I would imagine the NFL needs 10-12 different sites to keep up with that number of tests daily?

If the NFL votes for daily testing of its players, the breakdown of weekly testing of major pro sports leagues will look roughly like this:

      NFL - 40,320 tests/wk
      MLB - 10,000
      NBA - 8,700
      NHL - 8,700
      MLS - 5,000

      That's 73,000 tests/wk for a chance at pro sports.

The NFL # looked high, but I guess if you include every staff member it is correct. I doubt they will test staff that much. They should be, but I doubt they do it. They will test the players every day and then probably check the staff's temperature every day.

The NFL would need their own labs to process that many tests in each city. You are looking at 175-180 daily tests using those numbers. The leagues should have gotten together and funded some labs and could probably help cut their costs and then make money later in the year.

New Jersey governor limits capacity so for now there will be no fans at MetLife Stadium for Jets and Giants games.

Seeing how this is such a political issue, I can’t see certain states taking the same stance- Florida, Texas, Arizona in particular.

The Raiders initially said the lower sections of Allegiant Stadium will be blocked off for advertising. But now the owner is saying if he has to limit capacity then he wants no fans at all.

I believe the Eagles will have reduced capacity.

Philadelphia actually came out and banned fans, then they got so much backlash that they added exceptions for the Eagles and Phillies 1-2 days later.

MetLife is huge, but the public transportation usage would be a big issue. I think some cities will try 25% capacity but the NFL as a whole will have to give go ahead. If people get sick at games, even as unlikely as it would be, the NFL would take the blame.

If you are sitting outside in the open with a mask on more than 6ft away from others, it would be very hard to catch it.

I would assume tickets are going to have a disclaimer in case one later tests positive. It's kinda' like the warnings on baseball tickets about live baseballs/equipment flying into the stands.

That's all fine but people have to get there. Even at reduced capacity you are probably looking at a bunch of people in close proximity coming in and going out of the stadium at the same time.

There's a way to stagger arrival times by ticket numbers to reduce the number of people waiting in line

Staggering arrival times may actually be worse because you'll have a bunch of people congregating with nothing to do.

They go to their seats once they're in

This isn't going to be a social event that a lot of people go to games for. These games will be for fans who go and stay in their seats the whole game. I go to watch a football game, I don't care what else there is to do at the stadium, who else is there, etc. All the other stuff will be shut down, I would bet they have limited offerings for concessions and probably no prepared food at the stadium because of the regulations that would need to be followed and usually those people are volunteer groups doing it to make money for their group.

It really will be more enjoyable for people to sit at home this year instead of going to games.

Washington(CNN) The billionaire NFL owner who serves as President Donald Trump's ambassador to the United Kingdom was investigated by the State Department watchdog after allegations that he made racist and sexist comments to staff and sought to use his government position to benefit the President's personal business in the UK, multiple sources told CNN.

Robert Wood "Woody" Johnson, the top envoy since August 2017 to one of the United States' most important allies, made racist generalizations about Black men and questioned why the Black community celebrates Black History Month, according to exclusive new information shared with CNN by three sources and a diplomat familiar with the complaints to the State Department inspector general.

It’d be naive to think that Fans would JUST go to the game, go straight in their seat and sit there for all 3–4 hrs until it’s over and then go straight to their cars.

Oh and best believe people will be tailgating on game day as well. It may not be on Stadium property itself but in the area near the stadium, there will be people congregating, especially if it’s in walking distance.

If not for alcohol,I think very limited capacity in places that don't have big outbreaks by then could work ok. Might depend on the stadium though. After hours of tailgating though you know lots of people are going to act like idiots
