    NFL Off Topic

The Rooney Rule stuff is interesting.

The funniest theory I’ve read is that this is all a scheme by Jeff Bezos (owner of Amazon and WaPo) to make Snyder look bad so he’s forced to sell and Bezos can come in and buy the team.

Yeah I read that this morning. Bezos is said to be interested. I'm sure 45 will stick his nose in this lol.

So is it a news organization or the NFL dropping this news to the public? I'm not understanding the delay.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Sounds like a story that's going to hit tomorrow from Washington Post.

But it also sounds like a lot of DC sports media were aware or knowledgeable of it all, too.

In all seriousness, **** Daniel Snyder and this organization. I am so ****ing happy I stopped supporting him and that ****ty team.

Based on everything, this sounds like it'll be on the same or worse level than the Clippers/Sterling stuff.

I hope Snyder is gone from the league. Sad part though is that being "forced to sell" just means he'll get billions of dollars out of this.

Being forced to sell an asset like an NFL team that produces endless yearly revenue isn’t something any business man would be looking forward to do.

He may liquify billions of dollars but it’s billions of dollars he already controls. He wouldn’t exactly be coming out with more.

Selling an NFL team based on Washington DC, ooof, let the biding begin. This is the sort of opportunity that doesn't come along too often. Maybe Bezos will buy the team just to spite 45.

                      It’s amazing and hilarious.

It’s hilarious to me because I don’t see Bezos becoming Owner.

Honestly Pack...I'd take Bezos' ex-wife at this point. I know she got a lil pocket change lol

I didn't see anything regarding the Rooney Rule - just the Epstein connections. Can someone throw a link or summary?

Summary: the two men fired from the front office were “creeps” at least (probably more), but that was overlooked because they fed stories to reporters. Everyone in media knew it but didn’t want to lose their access to these inside sources.

According to Schaffer, DC have hired Beth Wilkinson, who is allegedly one of the best trial lawyers on the planet.

She has represented Brett Kavanaugh, Michael Flynn, and Hillary Clinton. She was also invoked in the OKC bombing prosecution.

Whatever is going to drop must be pretty significant.
