I'll never be in the camp where injury = bust

If you want to say the Browns and Bengals are cursed, I'd agree. Frankly, Mike Brown deserves any bad juju the world has to offer. I'd say the same for Jimmy Haslam at this point. But Tim Couch was not a bad pick. He wasn't on John Elway, Troy Aikman or Peyton Manning level, but any team with the #1 pick would have given him serious consideration.

So, are you defining a bust as a perceived bad pick? Only a guy who no one else would take?

I mean, plenty of teams would have taken Russell or Leaf but that doesn't mean they aren't busts. If they were taken high and their careers were crap, they are a bust no matter how many teams would have taken them where they went.

Saints give way too much to Redskins to move up from 12 to 5 and pick Ricky Williams

Besides the Herschel Walker trade, its been 20 years since the Jets "traded" Belichick to the Patriots for draft picks and a bag of beans.

If I had to pick between the 3 listed, I would go with Saints-Redskins trade. Williams didn't make the impact that was expected, RG3 had the awful knee injury, and Darnold hasn't been coached properly according to his own head coach.

An absolute hero. Gave up his job for the tanking cause. If the jets don’t add him to their ring of honor i don’t know what they are doing

I'll just never, ever agree with that.

There is a pretty clear divide between Couch and Leaf, or JaMarcus. Leaf most likely wouldn't have succeeded with any organization. Thats a bust, IMO. Couch had an expansion Browns team in the mix for the Playoffs before his shoulder got turned into hamburger. No history of previous arm trouble, that I can recall.

... quite a few teams red flagged Leaf, as we all know.

Odell was right about one thing....the Giants/Jerry Reese did a horrible job building around Eli in his waning years, especially the o-line. But Odell was his own worst enemy with his immaturity. I'm still burned up about that playoff loss to Green Bay. I don't remember Eli throwing Odell under the bus when he dropped a sure TD pass. You can tell he still misses NY, but we don't miss him and we don't need his drama. The Giants are never bringing him back (fool me once...).

Yup, Akili Smith was just a flat out bust and never put anything together. Couch was destined for relevance of some sort before he was ruined by that Browns team around him (and specifically, the offensive line or lack of). That 2002 season where he led that team of offensive castoffs to the playoffs was one of his more impressive accomplishments. He was just injured and beat down too much, as was David Carr

The Raiders have relieved Paul Guenther of his duties as defensive coordinator. Defensive line coach Rod Marinelli will serve as interim defensive coordinator for the remainder of the 2020 season.

They should thank their good fortune for the abundance of mass distraction this year.

Can you even imagine, in this age of marketing and branding, just how much they would have lost under normal circumstances?

Its almost unfair they can blame it all on the debacle that is 2020.

                                No postseason bubbles.

NFL and NFLPA medical experts recommended foregoing local bubbles in the playoffs based on COVID-19 data testing.
