On the topic of refs calling the game differently without fans:
Through the first 48 games of 2020, officials have thrown flags for 95 offensive holding penalties. That's 59% fewer than in 2019. by @SeifertESPN https://t.co/xij07X73n6

I would say either play Monday or the Titans forfeit. NFL won't allow the forfeit though, so Steelers will have to do whatever the league wants.

NFL postpones the Titans and Steelers game until later in the season. Not sure what that means as this isn't baseball, you can't play a double header and the Steelers team shouldn't be punished and lose a win. With how the tie breakers in the NFL are, this could be very important.

I don't get how they are going to do this either. Tennessee has a week 7 bye, Pittsburgh is week 8. Week 7 Pittsburgh plays Baltimore and week 8 Tennessee plays Cincinnati. You can't just simply move this game into either week as it would then have a ripple effect on other games that would have to be rescheduled as well. Not sure how feasible it is but adding a week 18 where the only games that are played are ones that need to be rescheduled like this one is the only solution I can think of that doesn't involve shuffling multiple teams and games around.

I didn't notice that both Baltimore and Pittsburgh have a week 8 bye so I guess you just shuffle their game to week 8, have Pittsburgh and Tennessee play week 7 and Baltimore changes their bye to week 7.

If I was the owner I would require the NFL to pay me a lot of money for changing the bye and then giving Baltimore a bye before a very important division game.

This isn't a natural disaster that the team has no fault in. Someone on the Titans didn't do what they were supposed to do and yet they have no consequences. A forfeit is the right call.

I don't like it tbh. Too many variables playing later in the year instead of this week, injuries etc.

I recall reading that the NFL schedule was made specifically to Where Week 3 and Week 4 could be moved or canceled with the way byes were scheduled for teams playing during those weeks.

They’re definitely going to move Week 7 & 8 games / byes around for TEN, PIT, and whoever their opponents would’ve been during those weeks. Well done, really.

As far as it being fair or not, that’s out the window in the current climate we’re in.

This is not necessarily true. You seem to think the only way to get the virus is being careless.
