Update: they reran the test and it came back negative. Not sure if same sample or new one.

All this is by far the most covid news we’ve had out of the NFL in 4 weeks, isn’t it? I heard nothing about anyone besides the one director of officiating or whatever until this week. So it’s hard to figure if this is the beginning of the end with Sunday being basically a superspreader event in 12-14 cities or just another day in the timeline of this pandemic.
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Only case I had heard about previously was that rookie CB in Atlanta, AJ Terrell, last week and Atlanta still played their game. The fact that nobody in New England tested positive after Newton did shows some teams know what they're doing unlike Tennessee who keeps popping up new positives daily.

They definitely do need to pause and enact bubbles for each team

I believe it was a second test, but generally a false positive isn't declared until you test negative 2 days in a row.

Hopefully the NFL is taking it seriously and not just looking for a short cut.

I dont see any need to pause anything. Now if multiple teams had an outbreak like Tennessee then I'd agree but that hasn't happened. Nobody pushed the panic button when AJ Terrell tested positive last Saturday and the team still played the following day with zero issues since, no reason to believe the same can't or won't happen with Newton testing positive. The Tennessee situation seems like an outlier and the NFL talking discipline makes me wonder if they were following protocols or not and if that contributed to it becoming an outbreak and not more isolated. Again, if more teams have an outbreak then pausing to get another plan in place would be prudent but I don't see it as of yet.

Yeah, if they were not following protocol this will be massive fines and draft picks-level of punishment IMO.

A great night for watching the NFL, but some risk for Patriots and Chiefs given the multi-day incubation period for COVID-19. Negative tests prior to the game won't guarantee that players, coaches & staff are clear. Another example of the risk/reward balance in this pandemic era. https://t.co/74LiF9LhtH

It’s also a very poor example to the general public. CDC recommends 14 day quarantine after close contact with known positive case regardless of negative tests. NFL should lead by example.

I can't imagine Tyrod Taylor is actually going to get his starting job back once he's healthy with how Herbert has played so far.

I wonder if he has a legit malpractice case against the team doctor? He essentially lost his job because of that guy puncturing his lung delivering a shot.

All negative tests from NE, they’re on the way to KC for tonight’s game. Good news.

Coronavirus took away this season’s morning games in London, but has given us a MNF doubleheader.

Here's a decent article about the possibilities. The one quote in the article from an attorney is completely useless, however. [emoji849][emoji38]

Los Angeles Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor suffered a punctured lung due to "mistake" by a team physician. Incident could trigger legal aftermath.

Golden tate is such a ******* *****. Props to ramsey for knocking up his sister, leaving her, then just flat out leveling tate on the field and pissing him off to the point he fought him instead of shaking his hand like a real man. This is why I got ramsey's jersey. Who says corners cant tackle?
