Sounding like Pro Bowl might be going away as Goodell has acknowledged that the game doesn’t work and Rapaport saying the league is already discussing ways to improve Pro Bowl week.

Aside from the "who got in" bit I don't see a reason to watch any of it imho.

Unless they actually play both sides of the ball (and I understand why they may not want to), I'm not sorry to see it gone.

My sister's cheerleading squad got to do halftime way back when in the early 2000s at Aloha Stadium, though. That's my only real memory of the event that I've cared about.

Looks like Steelers are hiring Eagles Any Wiedl as Assistant GM. Eagles lost a lot of key front office guys over the last couple seasons. Good thing that it shows that they have good staff that others are poaching. But, also that they probably should starting giving out the assistant GM title, since most of the losses were Lateral moves but "higher" title

Khan looks like the GM too. I like Khan, we'll see if anything changes front office wise.

It will be interesting to watch that one.

Came up on the buisness side, most GMs seem to be from teh personell/scouting side.

.. but, with teh Steelers, its practically impossible to argue against the hire.

I think they should move up the Senior Bowl, personally.

Probably creates too big of a hole in the NFLs 24/7/365 coverage plan though.

The Steelers are also expected to bring Andy Weidl back to Pittsburgh where he will serve as the club's first ever Assistant GM. I don't think that's official yet.

The thought at this time is that Khan will be the "Cap/contract Guy" and Weidl will be the "Personnel Guy".

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney died in a car accident early Monday morning near downtown Dallas, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported, per Gladney's agent. He was 25 years old.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney died in a car accident early Monday morning in the downtown Dallas area. He was 25 years old.

Once at the scene deputies found two vehicles wrecked and two people dead. Officials later confirmed that it was a male and a female in one of the cars that died in the accident -- their names won't be released until they are positively identified and next of kin is notified.

Investigators say their preliminary information indicates one vehicle was speeding and clipped the second vehicle from behind. The speeding vehicle lost control and hit the pier beam of the Woodall Rogers Freeway. The second vehicle was also occupied by two people but neither was seriously injured.

Police say it was just before 2:30 a.m. when deputies were dispatched to the westbound lanes of the freeway, near Allen Street.

Marion Barber III also passed away recently. No official word yet, but the word around here (he is from the Twin Cities area and played for the Gophers) is that he was having well-documented struggles with mental illness and had withdrawn from interacting with long-time acquaintances.

Far from official right now. Still three more bids out and not due until 3.

Walton may end up being the winner but according to all Den bear writers it’s far from official.

Seems kind of wild that they fired and hired a coach knowing they were about to sell the team. There already isnt much job security for NFL coaches so I’m sure this staff will be on a short leash.

Can't stop operating the team for months because a sale is in progress. Certainly that is a context to consider for anyone in that organization, but day to day there's work to be done.

Everyone in Denver has known the team was going to be sold for 2 years. The GM picked the coach, not the board/trust/ownership
