Ugh, for all the right the NFL does, why not just tell a team you are gonna be on Hard Knocks this year, and be done with it. I will still watch, but I won't need to watch right away. Obviously the list of teams that said no was extensive.

I also find it funny that Jacksonville was offering to be the team and HBO wasn't having them. I guess it will provide an opportunity to see those disgusting legs of Taneyhill's chick again.

Kinda sad that the one team that really wanted to be on the show gets shut out because even HBO can't/doesn't want to make them look good.

I will still watch because it's Hard Knock.

They can't touch what the other Miami team is doing on The Franchise on Showtime.

I'd watch any team on hard knocks, not having it was the worst part of the lockout last year.

If they can make the Damon Huard-led Kansas City Chiefs interesting, they can make any team interesting.

I would actually care to watch the Jags. QB battle, new owner, and isn't there a minor QB competition?

Nothing interest me about the Dolphins.

The best part of Hard Knocks is that the stars of the show is the least likely players you would expect.

                  Some Examples:
Kansas City Chiefs - Boomer Grigsby
                  Dallas Cowboys - Danny Amendola
                  Cincinnati Bengals - Chris Pressley

So whatever team is featured, I'm always down for this show.

Well, I think the QB battle is overblown, personally. Gabbert's the guy. But we do have a new owner (who is pumping money/blood/sweat/tears into the organization), new coaching staff, Justin Blackmon, the Pot Roast eye injury story, MJD being the leading rusher and also not happy with contract, etc. There were reasons to go to Jacksonville.

Meanwhile the Dolphins have a QB battle, new coach, and major QB competition.

Warren Sapp needs money so what's the easiest, legal way to earn it? By coming out with a book basically airing out 'dirty laundry':

Gary Shelton of the Tampa Bay Times recently previewed the 314-page effort, in which Sapp apparently perfectly captures his essence: “[H]e is loud, and he is profane, and he is stepping on a different set of toes every time you turn a page,” Shelton writes. “You may like it, you may hate it, and you may stay up late laughing about it.”
Sapp shares his views on his coaches and teammates, telling it like he sees it. Sapp says he chose to play college football at Miami over Florida State in part because coach Bobby Bowden referred to one of his other players as a “fat ***.” Sapp says that his first NFL coach, Sam Wyche, tried to motivate “by making snide comments, by belittling people.” Sapp says that “Tony Dungy put the damn cake in the oven, and then Jon Gruden came in and put the icing on it.”
Sapp’s views on the men he played with include outing former Bucs defensive tackle Brad Culpepper for cheating. Sapp claims that Culpepper, now a lawyer and one of the many former players suing the NFL for concussions, used silicone to make it harder to be held. “Now that [Culpepper] also is retired, I’ll confess for him that he was one of the people who did that,” Sapp writes. “He practically bathed in silicone before a game. Trust me, if he had ever tried to hug his wife before a game, she would have slipped right out of his arms and gone straight up in the air.”
