Apparently not, they turned down 2 1sts from an unnamed team. Doubt he's getting dealt in that case.

Looks like the Matt Ryan experiment is over in Indy. While he is injured, insiders are saying the move was being made regardless.

Seems the Matt Ryan ship had set sail in the eyes of Jim Irsay (we all know he makes these decisions).

Jc Jackson done for the year, Mike Williams with a high ankle sprain and out for a significant amount of time.

The AFC West went from the toughest division to a runaway real quick.

As a Broncos fan I feel the most bad for Chargers fans. Not sure what's going one but they have a solid team with a QB who is going to (or should be) great for years to come and they can't seem to put it together.

I hope they don't squander him (well.....quietly maybe I do lol) but he's too good.

I don't know if it's coaching or what, I really haven't gotten a chance to watch them often enough this season to know what it is but I've seen some starting to question Staley.

Jets replace injured Breece Hall with James Robinson, trading a 6th rounder (conditional 5th) to Jacksonville.

This one surprised me, I thought the Jags were decent this year (just looked it up and they've lost 4 straight), but they're in a bad division and gave up a good young back for a 6th

The Robinson trade surprised me because he's an RFA. I figured they'd give him a 2nd round tender after the year and either get him back at a cheap salary or a much better pick than that. Maybe he asked for a trade.

A 2nd round tender next year should be over $4M (it was $3.986M this year). What if no one gives Robinson $4M+ to leave Jacksonville? The Jags, who are projected to be over the cap in 2023, would be stuck paying $4M for a backup.

That's not a gamble they could reasonably take unless he is a serious part of their future plans. With Etienne in house and due to eat up $3.5M in cap space next year, moving Robinson for something now makes some sense.

$4M is not unreasonable for a backup halfback, Hines, Edmonds, Hunt, Edwards are all making more than that, and JD McKissic is not far behind. And I'd take Robinson over all but Hunt.

But after what happened last year and losing snaps this year, it does feel like he'd want out.

You're right, it's not unreasonable. However, they are currently projected to be over the cap next year (even after trading Robinson) so that's a big factor I'm sure.

NFC.... outside of the east...what is the deal?

                          Are they all bad? (Maybe)

Are they all good and beating up on each other? (Doubtful)

Will someone get themselves together? (Surely)

                          North
Minnesota was my preseason pick... easy shot at home field with that weak division.
GB is reeling from personnel adventures gone awry... there are no signs that Rodgers can make it work. (I wonder if he and Denver ever drunk text)
No need to talk much about Det/Chi... lions seem close to dignity, though.

                          South
                          Lol

                          West
Seattle is scoring all the points. And giving them all back. What a wild ride they're having. Geno killing it.
SF is shaky...but you kinda have to think they'll get right.
LA should improve as the year goes on. Their defense is still super stingy; offense is in crisis, though. Must improve now. Talent and coaching is there.
AZ is, well, Kyler Murray...who the heck knows what's going to happen or even if they have a plan.

If anyone outside of the East is going to turn in double digit wins (vikings excluded), it will surely be a team from the West, right? Someone from the West will win 7-8 more games from here on out... I'm guessing not AZ.

Hard to bet fully against TB down in TB... as far as making it to the playoffs is concerned. But that ceiling is quickly getting lower.

The postseason brings surprises that often negate regular season narratives...an NFCW team could really get hot during the last 3-4 weeks and run the table.

But at the moment... good grief... what a mess.
                          Australian Rules Football...just sayin'

Down year, but I like the move. Well needed depth that was needed at DE. The hope is that with a similar system to the one he thrived in last year, he should be better. At the very worst, he has no guaranteed money after this year.

I like the move over Burns and Chubb just because you would have to extend them with big money along with a higher pick

I always had a soft spot for Quinn because he was on that monstrous UNC DLine with Marvin Austin, Coples, etc. Loads of fun to play in NCAA football.
