That's all I was saying. But you turned it into something more. ESPN touts qbr which makes it relevant. But it's flawed. That's all I'm saying.

I remember Tebow had a high qbr in 2011 and people on here and in espn used that to prove he was a good qb which obvious wasn't true.

Saying a stat is flawed is like saying the sky is blue so it was more than that by just bringing it back up (since nobody has been talking about QBR). All I'm saying is that it's no more flawed than anything else. You throw out situations where someone's high QBR could sugarcoat their overall value, and I've done the same thing with QB Rating. We can keep going with passing yards, passing TDs, whatever. There is absolutely no magic stat that can be used to accurately rank QBs.

I don't think QBR should be discredited as a tool that can be used just like any of these others... and meanwhile I'd say it doesn't make sense to say which QB is better based only on their QBR or any other stat for that matter. In short, Manning's QBR from Thursday is really irrelevant unless it's paired with other things.

It's hit or miss, sometimes their QBR thing lines up with the stats or what I saw during the game and sometimes it makes little sense.

That "stat" has as much credibility as OJ Simpson does.

Even with proper context, it's still 96% miss and 4% "WTF That doesn't even make sense".

Not to mention I definitely remember him saying he was a Cowboys fan a long time ago. It's a known fact.

Not like Bieber walking around touting every team's hats and jerseys (which I still have no problem with, because it's more of a fashion thing for a lot of people nowadays anyways).

Can't say I agree with this. It's created by ESPN which makes it lose a ton of credibility from the jump. And no matter how much they try to shove it down our throats, I don't think we should just accept it as the standard for measuring QBs. But I think it has it's place just like the QB Rating does. For example, I know what Manning did and I see he's in the top 5. If I didn't hear that Luck had a "great game" (of course, can't help it if you watch ESPN) and I saw he had less than 200 passing yards, seeing his QBR would make me look closer at his stats and that game. Dalton is actually a good real life example because I wouldn't have guessed he'd be up there so now I'm going to take a closer look at his day.

That's diff, Toronto doesn't even have a NFL team though. If I had like a Sharks logo on my avatar, or a Brewers logo on my avatar, and I lived in Toronto, it'd make less sense, but a league where a hometown team doesn't exist...I'm obviously gonna be cheering for a team not from my city.

Eh, I've lived in Wasington 90% of my life and I cheer for teams from: Arlington, TX; Orlando, FL; Detroit, MI; and Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I think I got LeBron beat as far as the distance from his favorite teams he is. It's really not a huge deal.
