Yep, Washington is playing a division champions schedule this year after playing a last place one to win the division. The Giants will play a soft schedule next season and should "bounce" back.

Schedules are a little underrated. Because ever division plays the same teams, but the home and aways separate division champs from division chumps.

Mostly. All teams in a division play the same 14 opponents but 2 games are different for each team. If you finished in first one year, the next season you will play the first place team from all divisions in your conference.

So for example, the Niners finished in 1st last season, and this season their division plays the AFC South and the NFC South.

The difference is they will also play the Packers and Redskins since those two teams also finished in first place last year in their divisions. So the Seahawks, who finished 2nd in the West last year will have to play the Vikings and the Giants this year since they finished in 2nd last year along with Seattle.

So every team in the NFL will have 2 games that are not the same as the rest of their divisions schedule.

But, with the high turnover in bad and good teams every year a first place schedule doesnt necessarily mean anything. There are always teams that were good or bad last year that are the opposite this year so it really is hard to say "well they play a first place/last place" schedule and for it to mean anything.

Yeah, it was quite a show and i'm gonna have to find a way to get that prodcast of SB XIV. Jeez....Summerall and Brookshier were hungover as hell.

A lot of the broadcasting aspects of the show I knew about but as you said the personal stuff was very inspiring. Pat certainly went through a lot in his life and i'm glad to see he got to a point where he could be happy with his life and what he's done on this earth.

Not surprised Michael Vick is tops on that list again. From his disgusting actions off-the-field to his overhyped, overexposed, over-discussed performance and presence on the field, it's no wonder.

Looks like the Texans issues are getting worse. The Three Rookies they cut..Sam Montgomery, Cierre Wood, and Willie Jefferson are denying the ESPN report they were caught with pot and say they were smoking a cigar ..

Montgomery's agent has cited ESPN take down the article and also threatend legal action against both the Texans and ESPN...lol.

Well, I look at it like this. Something serious happend to have all 3 kicked off the team that fast and Im sure a cigar wasnt the reason. Montgomery was a disapointment from the start. The sad part was our whole draft board after the second round is gone. Rick Smith and Gary Kubiak must face the music. My only fear is they may get a pass for this season because of all the injuries and off field issues

I wonder how much is due to his dog-fighting crime and how much is due to his up-and-down playing career.

I remember reading an article someone posted here about how many times a team will give him a chance to "turn it around," like he has 9 lives or something. He just bought himself another ticket to a starting gig with Foles sucking then being concussed and Barkley throwing mass INT's. If Foles didn't look completely terrible, the Eagles would've been smart to stick with the steady QB instead of being sucked into Vick's incredible athletic ability and somehow continue to pass over or flat out accept that he will never be a consistently good passer. He is a curious one, drives me crazy seeing him sling a 60 yard bomb on the money then completely botch a 5 yard throw. They're a good fit for each other; that team can't score when the defense steps up, and can't stop anyone when the offense is firing on all cylinders.

I may be a Bills fan, but I do not envy Eagles fans. At least we have a clear direction, I feel like the Eagles are seconds away from disaster, somehow holding it together by a thread. If McCoy goes down, that ship could sink. Bryce Brown hasn't looked good in spot carries and I don't think he'll match what he did a year ago should McCoy get hurt.
