Why would Aaron Hernandez be on the list? He's not an NFL player anymore.

I am curious to know where Riley Cooper is ranked at, if this poll goes beyond 10 players. I might have an idea as to why but I won't even go there on here.

Not surprised at some of the names on the list, especially since society hates players who are too cocky or either have too much success or players that have a combination of both.

This is a poll of casual fans. It's a poll done by a celebrity tracking company. Riley Cooper isn't a big name. If you don't follow sports, would you have even heard of that incident more than in passing? The rest are quarterbacks, the face of teams. The ones that aren't are Te'o, who had a major story that was all over the place, including Oprah, and Reggie Bush, who dated Kim Kardashian. Then there's Suh, who stomped on a player and we all know that when something overtly violent happens on a sports field, it gets covered heavily.

I think you're looking for something that isn't there.

RIGHT!!!! I never thought I would see the following to start the NFL season

            1) KC with more then 4 wins

            2) NY with 1 win

            3) Texans being held up from being last by Jacksonville

            4) 49ers struggling out the gate
            atleast..Its not Delaware

That's not too surprising, everyone knew they had a talented team. It was Coaching, and lack of a Quarterback that were holding them back; and they've managed to get both this past off-season. While Alex Smith is not a "top tier" QB per say, he's a smart, heady QB who can get them in the right plays more often than not, and he's excellent at managing games. Which with their Defense and run game is all they need.
              2) NY with 1 win
Got me there, I don't think anyone saw the Giants struggling this bad; but when the Offensive line and receivers struggle; Eli breaks down and starts giving away the Football like Candy on Halloween.
              3) Texans being held up from being last by Jacksonville
The Texans decline has been a big surprise for me at least. This was a team that went to the Divisional round of the playoffs last season. Their Offensive line has seriously declined, and Schaub has had his worst season as a starter. They are going to have to make a decision on Kubiak by years end.
              4) 49ers struggling out the gate
I wouldn't say the 49ers struggled out the gate, they won a tough opener vs. Green Bay; and since two losses to very good teams in Seattle, and Indianapolis they haven't lost since. They've beat the teams they were supposed to beat. I'd say that Kaepernick has struggled more than usual, but again we have to remember this is a second year player here.. there will be some hiccups and they've gotten by.

Considering how sensitive we are as a society when it comes to certain words or slurs, then yes you would've heard more of it.

and Reggie Bush, who dated Kim Kardashian.
I'd buy this if Miles Austin was also on the list or appeared on any of these lists in the past.

I'd like to hear the reason behind your cryptic statement then. PM perhaps?

Miles Austin isn't a big enough name to be on anyone's radar just like Cooper, so it shouldn't be surprising he is never on these lists. Bush also was a star in college, won the Heisman, and had it taken away.

I called a failure Giants season a mile away. Nothing about this year caught me off guard. My last post in the Giants team thread was Nostradamus-like except I submitted the team might win 8 games.

I lied I actually thought Minn would win last night. That caught me off gaurd.

KC's 2012 last place team schedule also helps. Everything lined up perfectly for them to get off to this start. The true test of worth will happen in the playoffs but they are legit.

Personally, the one I would add to the list is Indy's success. They have a tough schedule based off their record from last year and got their wins by beating three serious SB contenders in SF, SEA, and DEN.

By the way this is Kaep's 3rd year, just his second year starting. Not a huge difference but a difference still. I thought people were going a bit nuts over him (I've always like a healthy RG3, Luck and Wilson more) but he deserves a bit of slack losing his security blanket in Crabtree. And, as you said, I wouldn't say the 9ers are struggling at all.

                        1. People value Animals more than they do words/slurs. Even if this is done by "casuals", Roethlisberger should be higher than what he is on that list, should he not?

                        2. So then the Kardashian thing isn't as big a factor as we think, if it is one. Which means Bush being on this list fits the description of the 2nd point I made in my original post.

Yes Indy has been the most impressive team this season IMO, they have the most impressive collection of wins up towards this point in the season. The quick maturation of Luck has been critical, he's making all kinds of fantastic throws into tight windows, and seems to rise to the occasion and plays his best football in critical moments. Going to need a lot more of that from him, later down the stretch. Plus Pagano has had that Defense playing above the level most expected them to play, at least when looking at that unit on paper.

My one concern with them right now is the injuries, we saw in that Denver game they had a number of starters go down. The Wayne injury is a huge hit, because now T.Y Hilton, Heyward-Bey, and Fleener need to step up in much expanded roles; Richardson is going to be that much more crucial for them going forward, he's going to need to step it up.

The sports world has been turned upside down, well sort of.

I was also gonna say that kid that posted that Kansas City Chiefs love fest thread would have looked like a genius if he posted it just a year later, but I saw somebody already posted that before me lol.
