        Yeah, man, that's abysmal.

I feel like between the Bucs winless season and the mid-late 90's, they didn't really exist. We always hear about these great teams in Dallas, San Francisco, New York, Washington... so those "other" teams get forgotten. I can hardly name any players who passed through the Bucs. There are some, and some who moved on and hit it big, but man. Not much legacy there.

Yet they have more Super Bowl's then the Eagles, Bills, etc. Infuriating!

What does his performance on the field have to do with being overrated, over-discussed and overhyped? That's not on him, that's on the media. Nothing wrong with not liking the guy because of dogfighting but not liking him AS A PERSON because of his media attention is pretty silly.

And I feel the same way about people that genuinely dislike Tim Tebow just because he gets a lot of coverage. It's not HIS fault that the media obsesses over him.

Im sure if you were a Bucs fan you could spit out a bunch of great names to go through Tampa. They have a legacy, dont violate them like that.

I'm not even a Bucs fan and I can spit out a few names of guys who've had respectable NFL careers in a Tampa uniform or who went on to greater things elsewhere.

I'll just name a few off the top of my head:

Lee Roy Selmon, Jimmie Giles, Doug Williams, Errict Rhett (sp), James Wilder, and Steve DeBerg.

I haven't even touched on the more well known names from the Dungy years either.

Lee Roy Selmon, Steve DeBerg, and Steve Young were the only ones I could think of off the top of my head.

Like I said, a few names over 20 years, with guys like Young and Doug Williams coming to prominence elsewhere. Also, good ole Vinny Testaverde.

Looking now, Carrier is one of the few who sticks out as well. Still, the cupboard seems pretty bare when compared to other teams from the 80's to mid 90's.

Of course, guys like Dunn, Sapp, Brooks, Alstott came along in the Dungy/Gruden eras. It was just eye opening to me to compare their first 25ish years to their past 15 or so. They certainly enjoyed a renaissance of sorts after a bleak couple decades.

Also, and not to turn this into a thing but you did generalize by saying "nobody", I really don't like Tebow and all the media attention is only a small part of it.

Have you ever considered that because of the over exposure people have found more reasons TO dislike someone rather than disliking them simply because of the over-exposure?

And please tell me how any of us (unless you know NFL players personally) are supposed to know how we feel about someone PERSONALLY without media exposure?

How do you feel personally about the Eagles backup center?

                            Observation of mine....

I have noticed a lot of late flags being thrown primarily for pass interference calls. It seems like the players are dictating when flags should be thrown by being animated and raising their arms. Just curious if anyone has noticed this too...

It's not anything new but it's as annoying as ever. Players don't even seem like they're running their routes, they just run upfield, then stop and turn around to whine for a flag.

I'm gonna be watching NFL games in future weeks on DVR, so what I wanna know:

How long would an average game take to watch if you take away all the commercial breaks and halftime? A regular game takes around 3hrs, so I'd guess without commercials/halftime it might take me only 2hrs or so to watch?
