I think a bust also depends on where a guy is taken combined with expectations.
1st round guys that been meh/sucked since '07:
Brady Quinn
Jamarcus Russel
Mark Sanchez
Guys that I'd consider that could be candidates in a few years:
Blaine Gabbert
Tim Tebow
Josh Freeman
There weren't as many as I thought at first since were only going to '07
Freeman should be nowhere near the category. Didn't play a full season his rookie year, but when he did take over he should a lot of potential. His 2nd year he was very good w/ 20+ TD's to 6 interceptions throwing to rookie WR's. Last year was a complete train wreck with the whole team.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

I just said it's a possibility in the future, has more seasons like this past one and yeahSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I don't think Tebow can be a bust. No one believes he can succeed anyone's so it would come as a surprise to people. Also he was a huge reach an shouldn't have been drafted in the first anyways.

I think the Redskins are really stupid for trading away three first-round picks to get Robert Griffin III. Sure he may be awesome, but there's just as good of a chance that he won't. What will happen if he is a bust? They'd be out the next three drafts. That could be devastating

As many people have said, it's a good move only if RG3 lives up to the Redskins' expectation.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
You want to talk about starting a new era.. I don't think I've ever seen a team in any sport do a complete clean sweep of the franchise like the Colts are doing. Fired the GM and coaching staff. Cut Peyton, Addai, Clark, Brackett, and Bullitt. Reggie and Saturday are likely gone. Freeney is on the trade market.
At this point I don't even know why they resigned Mathis.Indianapolis Colts

Mathis was a free agent though. He couldn't have been traded. I do agree with them in their thinking of Mathis being a 3-4 OLB. I think he'd be much better at that than Freeney. But Mathis is also 30 years old. If you're going to get rid of every face in your franchise and do a clean sweep like this, I don't understand the point in keeping him. He probably only has a few more years left in his prime and the Colts are now years away from contending again.Indianapolis Colts

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012
Yeah I've personally never seen such a radical change in a team the way the Colts are doing it. The only thing that comes close to this was Harold Ballard completely dismantling the Maple Leafs team of the late '70s because players wanted bigger contracts (and not huge mega dollars either) and being the cheap bastard that he was he traded away the core of the team.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
