I'm just glad he somehow got up instantly and led the comeback.

There's no way to hit a guy in the neck.. the shoulder pads cover that area.

It's simply the same inconsistency in refereeing we see on other calls, not some kind of conspiracy.
Joe Flacco is a bum. Refs aren't giving that dude no calls. Goodell put that call in a long a time ago.

Thing about it is the ref that makes the call doesn't get to see the perfect close-up angles in slow motion. The play looks bad in real time, and some refs are always going to err on the side of calling a penalty.

Totally irrelevent, but man that hit looks painful as ****. Brooks is a solid 260 lbs. Couldn't even do it. I'd be out for two weeks after a hit like that.

NFL is turning into the same shady, inconsistent garbage as the NBA. That's what happens when you keep piling on the rules.

Former Raiders and Bengals linebacker Thomas Howard died early this morning, after a high-speed crash on an Oakland interstate which claimed another life as well.

Sad news about Thomas Howard. He was reportedly driving at over 100 miles per hour. That's pretty reckless even on a highway.

One of the drivers he struck was killed too.

He was a good player for the Raiders and had a pretty good year with the Bengals in 2011.That being said, while it's sad that he's gone it's even sadder that his foolishness took another man's life.

Its was a BS call for the Saints. I agree with everything that Brooks said afterwards.

Plus the Saints got a win so it makes things worse.

So just a couple things that have come to mind in my head in the last 24 hrs:

                            1. The Cardinals have to be the quietest 6-4 team around.

                            2. This is more important to my ego and well to the playoff races but I remember in preseason how I said I thought Nick Foles looked better running and understanding Chip Kelly's offense over Mike Vick. Of course Vick won the job but Foles has taken his opportunity to show his stuff and hasn't disappointed. He could end up being another Kevin Kolb but I don't really think so as he's just lighting it up and looks very comfortable in that offense. Do Philly fans think Foles should be given the starting job next season or are skeptical still?

Unsure about if the Eagles will keep him. I can see Chip Kelly shopping him during the off season and trying to get "His Guy" in the draft.
