More on lack of officiating consistency:

NFL officials have the thankless job of making real-time decisions after processing information in the blink of an eye. Sometimes they’re right, sometimes they’re wrong, but why do the rules always seem to be changing?

Santana Moss should expect a fine. He pretty much called the officiating this year the worst he's ever seen in his life to reporters.

            The truth is costly.....

I wouldn't say it's the worst ever but it's very close. There was a point in the '90s just before instant replay was brought back where the officiating was just atrocious.

              Re: NFL Off Topic

Honestly with rules and "points of emphasis" changing every off-season, its gotta be hard on the officials. But this is what they wanted. They went toe-to-toe with the NFL, when they NFL wanted more officials and more full time officials. So, while I think its really hard to keep up with all the rules changes on the other hand this is what they fought for so its time to step up and do your job correctly, or go back to the NFL and tell then you need help.

Peter King says he expects Kubiak will be fired today. Looks like he's addressing the team in 15 minutes per Schefter on Twitter.

Makes no sense why they would do it today unless they want to see what one of the interim coaches can do with the team for last few weeks.

Not Kubiac's fault their QB play evaporated this season. I don't like not letting him finish out the season.

Yea, but the whole team looks bad. Dumb penalties, dumb mistakes. And if the team isn't responding to him anymore, no point in keeping him around.

Wade Phillips will serve as interm coach. I was hoping the whole coaching staff would go but really cant do that until the end of the season. Got to agree, its not just kubiak. Phillips has disappointed alot. Defense gets to much credit. They lead league in pass interference calls.

Probably why they did it, first vacancy and maybe the most valuable from a 'win now' perspective if they want to get a high profile coach.
