    Re: NFL Off Topic

When I saw this trash on ESPN being spoken out by 2 anchors I quickly changed the channel.

I can care less about tweets going back and forth.

Players of the same position talking trash to each other. How pointless is that? Only a thing because Sherman is involved. Free agency must have cooled down big time for this to become a story.

I fail to see how he made it personal because the whole convo looked like typical trash talk to me. Wish they would've posted them in order of them happening in that link.
I thought they were in order.

It seemed all jumbled up to me, I'm still pretty green with Twitter though, I had a hard time trying to follow the "conversation".

Some of them show the quoted tweet followed by the reply... others just the tweet.

Tweets that start with "@DeAngeloHall23" are from Sherman to Hall.

Tweets that start with "@RSherman_25" are from Hall to Sherman.

Still could be a bit confusing but looking again, I'm pretty sure they're in order.

Had a chance to spend a few hours with Cornelius Bennett, Matt Hasselbeck, and Drew Brees today. Amazing people all around.

That whole Sherman-DeAngelo Hall convo doesn't even happen if Hall would have just minded his own business in the first place. He was basically jumping into a conversation Sherman was having with someone else.

Apparently they also have a preliminary charge of possession of a controlled substance on him.

I already knew Irsay was pretty stupid when he would bitch about the team on Twitter, but like come on dude, you aren't cool, despite your efforts to be so. Ugh, I really don't like him as an owner, but I doubt he leaves any time soon, or it leaves his family any time soon.

Pretty foolish on Irsay's part but if he's been battling addiction to prescription drugs and liquor well...It's not the easiest thing to get out of. Still, to be caught like that?

I doubt he loses the team or anything and if he does see some jail time i'm sure active ownership will go to someone else within the family.

Does this mean he loses all profits from the first 4 games this season?

If Irsay were a player who was battling addiction the NFL would "help" by suspending him w/o pay from the team leaving him to his own devices for 4, then 16 games and reminding us that playing the sport is a "privilege". While I get that ownership isn't a privilege its pretty comical to say the least that he will be sitting pretty in his owners box come week 1, while there are players (like Tenard Jackson) who have been "suspended" for going on 2 years now for substance abuse violations.
